➢ Trek Itinerary

Day 1 – Rishikesh to Joshimath / Govindghat

Drive: 260–270 km | 10–11 Hours

Altitude: ~6,000 ft

• Pickup at 6:00 AM from Reshikesh bus stand / Natraj Chowk / Tapovan, Rishikesh

• Begin the scenic Himalayan drive along the Alaknanda River

• En route witness famous confluences – Devprayag, Rudraprayag and Karnaprayag

• Lunch stop on the way (self sponsored)

• Reach Joshimath / Govindghat by evening

• Check-in at hotel / guesthouse

Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 – Govindghat to Pulna (Drive) & Trek to

Ghangaria

Drive: 4 km

Trek: 10 km | 5–6 Hours

Altitude: 9,600 ft

• After breakfast, short drive from Govindghat to Pulna village

• Begin the trek from Pulna towards Ghangaria

• Trek along the beautiful Pushpawati River with waterfalls and forest trails

• Mule and porter services available for luggage (optional)

• Reach Ghangaria by afternoon

• Check into guesthouse / lodge and relax

Dinner and overnight stay at Ghangaria.

Day 3 – Ghangaria to Valley of Flowers and back

Trek: 8 km | 4–5 Hours (round trip)

Altitude: ~12,000 ft

• After breakfast, start trekking towards the Valley of Flowers National Park

• A UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its breathtaking alpine meadows

• Witness hundreds of rare Himalayan flowers, glaciers and streams

• Spend time exploring and photography inside the valley Return to Ghangaria by afternoon.

Dinner and overnight stay at Ghangaria.

Day 4 – Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib and back

Trek: 12 km | 6–7 Hours (round trip)

Altitude: 14,200 ft

• Early morning trek to the sacred Hemkund Sahib

• A steep yet rewarding climb with spectacular Himalayan views

• Visit the holy Gurudwara dedicated to Guru Gobind Singh

• Spend time at the beautiful Hemkund Lake surrounded by snow-covered peaks

Descend back to Ghangaria.

Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5 – Ghangaria to Govindghat / Joshimath

(Optional Badrinath & Mana Visit)

Trek: 10 km | 5–6 Hours

Drive: 4 km

• After breakfast, descend from Ghangaria to Pulna / Govindghat

• Enjoy the scenic trail through forests and river valley

• Drive further to Joshimath / Govindghat

Optional Visit (Self-Paid)

Trekkers can visit Badrinath Temple and Mana Village (approx 30 km one way) by

local taxi.

• Visit the sacred Badrinath Temple

• Explore Mana – the last Indian village near the Indo-Tibetan border

• See famous attractions like Bheem Pul and the Saraswati River

⚠ This visit is optional and on personal expenses.

Return to Govindghat / Joshimath for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6 – Joshimath / Govindghat to Rishikesh

Drive: 260–270 km | 10–11 Hours

• After breakfast, start the return journey to Rishikesh

• Scenic drive through the Garhwal Himalayas along the Alaknanda River

• Reach Rishikesh by evening around 7–8 PM

➢Important Advisory – Monsoon Travel

Conditions

The Valley of Flowers National Park and Hemkund Sahib trek takes

place during the monsoon season (July–September) in the Garhwal

Himalayas. During this period, weather conditions in the mountains

can be highly unpredictable.

Trekkers are requested to carefully read and understand the following

points:

Road & Weather Conditions

• Due to heavy monsoon rains, landslides, road blockages, traffic

delays and temporary route closures are common in the

Himalayan region.

• Travel time may increase significantly depending on weather and

road conditions.

• Certain sections of the road may remain closed temporarily due to

landslides or BRO repair work.

Government & Administrative Restrictions

• Entry to Valley of Flowers National Park or the route towards

Hemkund Sahib may be temporarily restricted or regulated by the

Forest Department / Local Administration due to weather, safety

concerns, crowd management or natural conditions.

• In such situations, the itinerary may be modified, delayed or

adjusted in the interest of safety.

Itinerary Flexibility

• The trek itinerary is subject to change at any time due to weather

conditions, landslides, road closures, natural disasters, government

orders or any unforeseen circumstances.

• The trek leader and local administration will take the final decision

to modify the schedule if required for the safety of participants.

Buffer Day Recommendation

• All trekkers are strongly advised to keep at least one buffer day

after the trek before planning onward travel (train/flight).

• In case of unavoidable delays due to landslides, weather conditions

or government restrictions, this buffer day helps avoid travel

inconvenience.

Extra Costs

• If the group is required to stay an additional day due to road

blockages, landslides, weather conditions or government

restrictions, the extra accommodation, food and transportation

costs will be borne by the trekkers.

• Such buffer day expenses are not included in the trek package

and will be chargeable on actual basis.

Safety First Policy

• Safety of trekkers and staff is our highest priority.

• Decisions taken by the trek leader or local authorities regarding

route changes, delays or cancellations must be respected and

followed by all participants.

➢ Inclusions

Accommodation:

Day 1 & Day 5 hotel / guesthouse stay at Joshimath or Govindghat on

multiple sharing basis.

Day 2, 3 & 4 stay at guesthouse / lodge or campsite on multiple sharing

basis at Ghangaria. Rooms and facilities are basic but neat and clean as
this is a remote Himalayan village open only 4–5 months during the

monsoon for the Valley of Flowers National Park and Hemkund Sahib

season.

Double sharing rooms (if available) can be arranged at an additional

cost of ₹2500 per person for 5 nights.

• Meals:

Meals included from Day 1 dinner to Day 5 dinner, including daily

breakfast, packed lunch during trek days and evening dinner. All meals

will be simple and nutritious vegetarian food, suitable for trekking.

• Permits & Entry Fees:

All necessary permits and entry fees required for the trek.

• Safety & Medical Support:

First aid medical kit, stretcher and oxygen cylinder available for

emergency use during the trek.

• Trek Staff:

Mountaineering qualified and experienced trek leader, local guide and

support staff for the entire trek.

• Trek Certificate:

Participants will receive a Trek Completion Certificate after successfully

completing the trek.

Transportation (If GoAdven/ PurnaTours uttrakhand India Transport is Selected)

Shared transportation from Rishikesh to Govindghat / Joshimath and

return will be arranged as per group size in the following vehicles:
• 4 Seater: Sedan – Dzire or similar

• 6 Seater: Ertiga or similar

• 8 Seater: Sumo / Bolero

• 10+ Seater: Tempo Traveller

Local Transport (Govindghat – Pulna)

• Shared local transport from Govindghat to Pulna (4 km) is included in

the package.

• As per local regulations, only taxis operated by the Bhundar–Pulna Taxi

Union are allowed on this route.

• Transport will be arranged in shared taxis (approx. 10 persons per

vehicle) as per local union rules.

Food during transit (meals during travel on Day 1 and Day 6).

Mules / Porter charges for personal luggage.

Porter service is optional and costs ₹1400 per bag. Only rucksack

bags are allowed, with a maximum weight limit of 9 kg per bag.

evacuation if required).

We came from Gujarat as a group of five friends with a dream of completing the sacred Rudranath Trek. We had heard many stories about the beauty, spirituality, and challenges of this journey, but the actual experience was beyond anything we had imagined.

From the very beginning, the journey felt special. The fresh mountain air, dense forests, peaceful meadows, and breathtaking Himalayan landscapes made every step memorable. As we moved higher into the mountains, we felt ourselves leaving behind the noise and stress of daily life and entering a world filled with peace, devotion, and natural beauty.

The trek was physically challenging at certain points, but every difficult climb was rewarded with magnificent views of the Garhwal Himalayas. The mountains seemed endless, and every turn revealed a new and stunning panorama. Walking through clouds, crossing lush green valleys, and witnessing untouched nature was a truly magical experience.

One of the most remarkable parts of the trek was the feeling of togetherness among our group. We encouraged one another during the difficult sections, shared laughter throughout the journey, and created memories that will remain with us forever. This trek strengthened our friendship and gave us moments that we will always cherish.

The hospitality and support provided throughout the journey were exceptional. Every arrangement was well organized, and we felt comfortable and safe during the entire trek. The local people were welcoming, kind, and always ready to help, making our experience even more enjoyable.

The most emotional and unforgettable moment was reaching the sacred Rudranath Temple. After hours of trekking through the mountains, seeing the temple standing amidst the majestic Himalayan peaks was a deeply spiritual experience. The atmosphere around the temple was filled with positivity, devotion, and divine energy.

Standing before Lord Rudranath, we felt a sense of inner peace that is difficult to describe in words. All the tiredness from the trek disappeared instantly. The prayers, the temple bells, the serene surroundings, and the spiritual vibrations created a feeling that touched our hearts deeply.

We also witnessed breathtaking sunrises and sunsets during the journey. Watching the golden rays illuminate the Himalayan peaks was one of the most beautiful sights we have ever seen. Nature displayed its finest beauty throughout the trek, and every moment felt like a blessing.

For us, the Rudranath Trek was not just an adventure or a mountain trek. It was a journey of self-discovery, spirituality, friendship, and personal achievement. It taught us patience, determination, gratitude, and the importance of connecting with nature.

रुद्रप्रयाग में चारधाम यात्रा के दौरान हेलीकॉप्टर टिकट के नाम पर ठगी करने वाले साइबर गिरोहों के खिलाफ पुलिस ने बड़ी कार्रवाई की है। पुलिस अधीक्षक निहारिका तोमर ने बताया कि साइबर सेल ने अब तक 347 फर्जी फेसबुक पेज, 19 इंस्टाग्राम अकाउंट, 30 वेबसाइट और 189 व्हाट्सएप मोबाइल नंबर बंद करवाए हैं। इसके अलावा ठगी में इस्तेमाल किए गए 118 बैंक खातों को भी फ्रीज किया गया है।

यात्रा अवधि में हेलीकॉप्टर टिकट फ्रॉड से जुड़ी 48 शिकायतें प्राप्त हुईं, जिन पर कार्रवाई करते हुए पुलिस ने संबंधित खातों को सीज कराया। वहीं गुप्तकाशी और सोनप्रयाग कोतवाली में तीन मुकदमे दर्ज कर दो आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है।

एसपी निहारिका तोमर ने बताया कि जिले में अब तक 229 साइबर शिकायतें दर्ज हुई हैं, जिनमें 144 मामलों की जांच जारी है। साइबर अपराधों से जुड़े 12 मुकदमे भी दर्ज किए जा चुके हैं। पुलिस सोशल मीडिया और साइबर गतिविधियों पर लगातार नजर बनाए हुए है तथा लोगों से केवल अधिकृत माध्यमों से ही टिकट बुक करने की अपील की है।

कब जागेगा सिस्टम? तुंगनाथ-चंद्रशिला में बार-बार हो रहे हादसे दे रहे बड़े खतरे का संकेत

डेढ़ महीने में कई घटनाएं, चेतावनियां भी हुईं नजरअंदाज

रुद्रप्रयाग के तुंगनाथ-चंद्रशिला क्षेत्र में शुक्रवार को आकाशीय बिजली गिरने से लखनऊ निवासी दो सगे भाइयों की मौत और दो अन्य पर्यटकों के घायल होने की घटना ने सुरक्षा व स्वास्थ्य व्यवस्थाओं पर गंभीर सवाल खड़े कर दिए हैं। यह कोई पहली घटना नहीं है, बल्कि पिछले डेढ़ महीने में क्षेत्र में कई बार मौसम जनित आपदाएं सामने आ चुकी हैं।

11 अप्रैल 2026 को चंद्रशिला क्षेत्र में अचानक आए तूफान के कारण 30 से 40 लोगों के फंसने की सूचना मिली थी। इसके बाद एनडीआरएफ, एसडीआरएफ और डीडीआरएफ की टीमों को रेस्क्यू के लिए भेजना पड़ा।

15 मई 2026 को तुंगनाथ से आगे चंद्रशिला मार्ग पर आकाशीय बिजली गिरने से बिजनौर निवासी 19 वर्षीय वेदांत और 35 वर्षीय शैल राजपूत घायल हो गए थे।

22 मई 2026 को मौसम विभाग ने तुंगनाथ क्षेत्र में तेज हवाओं, बिजली गिरने और तूफान को लेकर येलो अलर्ट जारी किया।

24 मई 2026 को फिर आकाशीय बिजली और झोंकेदार हवाओं की चेतावनी दी गई।

इसके बावजूद 29 मई 2026 को चंद्रशिला में हुए वज्रपात ने दो सगे भाइयों की जान ले ली और दो अन्य लोग घायल हो गए।

समुद्र तल से करीब 3680 मीटर ऊंचाई पर स्थित तुंगनाथ और 3690 मीटर ऊंची चंद्रशिला में मौसम मिनटों में बदल जाता है। लेकिन यहां आज भी भीड़ नियंत्रण, खराब मौसम में ट्रैक बंद करने की व्यवस्था, मेडिकल सुविधा, स्ट्रेचर, संचार नेटवर्क और त्वरित रेस्क्यू संसाधनों का अभाव बना हुआ है।

यह भी बताते चले की तुंगनाथ मंदिर के कपाट खुलने के बाद से ही 55000 से अधिक यात्री मंदिर के दर्शन कर चुके हैं और यह संख्या पुराने रिकॉर्ड तोड़ रही है।
