Raise the following points :-
1- To abolish the culture of recruiting diploma holders or keeping them at par with degree holders.
2- To Ensure proper nomenclature of Prosthetic and Orthotics Profesionals/Prosthetist & Orthotist post and to make them understand that as per RCI Act and PWD Act 2016 its illegals if a technician handles patients directly (a technician could work only in the supervision of Professional)
3- To make them understand between Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy

4-To develop a central guildeline for recruitment of Physiotherapy/Prosthetics Orthotics/Occupational therapy Professionals and not to allow state governments to let diploma holders work on their own (the degree holders must supervise and treat patients)

The Catholic Health Association of India (CHAI) is a National level Non-Governmental Organization with more than 3500 Member institutions is in existence since 1943 working on various health programmes in the Country. With a view to realize its Vision to bring ‘health for all’, CHAI endeavours to promote community health, control communicable and non-communicable diseases; provide relief to disaster victims, support and rehabilitation to persons with disabilities, and advocate the right to health for the marginalized and the vulnerable.

CHAI is looking for a competent person to fill this following position. CHAI has well established departments

Job Location: CHAI Central Office, Secunderabad

Term of Employment: Full-time

Report to: Senior Programme Manager

Position: Programme Officer

This is a key position and calls for strong leadership, dynamic management skills, ability to multi-task and aptitude to work with team with a passion to work on community based rehabilitation in India.

Education& Experience: Candidate should have B.Ed. in Special Education (Hearing Impairment)/B. ASLP and/or related degree from recognized universities with minimum 2-5 years of work experience in social development sector. Sign language, Communication proficiency and Excellent command over written and spoken English, Knowledge on computer with MS-Office is essential.

Candidates having experience in Community Based Rehabilitation sector in programme level positions will be given priority. The Programme Officer will report to the Programme Manager of Project.

ROLE:
• As overall and timely monitoring of the Project's planning, implementation and review, ensuring compliance with donor regulations and policies and in line with the MoUs entered thereof with the Partner Organizations (POs), in consultation with the Programme Manager when required

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Plan, implement and monitor the project for the timely achievement of the intended results having internalized the MoUs, and coordinate the project team members accordingly with the required short and long term plans.
• Explore factors and conditions essential for the development of an effective and successful rehabilitation program, as envisaged within the project frame, for persons with disabilities that encompass the social and economic dimensions.
• Coordinate and uploading of data in Software: Update the PO changes, Feedback letters, Motivations, Payment particulars, AII Dual reports, Data, PO Evaluations & Success stories.
• Do timely correspondence with POs and supportive supervision with the concerned towards judicious net utilization of funds, starting with the preparation of the annual budget and the process of getting the required funds sanctioned in time.
• Prepare and submit timely qualitative and analytical reports of activities carried out; also, the reports to the concerned Govt. agencies as and when required.
• Undertake/guide the team members to carry out - the monitoring/evaluation visits
• Assess the capacity building needs of POs.
• Assist POs on the preparation of rehabilitation plan monitors its implementation and provides advice and support as and when required.
• Organize and lead training workshops for partner network in the region.
• Complete other task or assignments given by the Senior Programme Manager /Director-General as and when required.

General:
1. Willing to travel when needed
2. Willing to work beyond office hours if required
3. Willing to work for any other activities related to CHAI's Mission and Vision as required by the Director General CHAI from time to time
