Micro enterprises should have a separate ministry, according to a demand raised by CIA. The reason is that there are more than 20,000 businesses in Coimbatore district with an annual turnover of less than ₹1 crore.

In such a situation, how can the issues faced by these small-scale enterprises be considered the same as those of manufacturing companies with turnovers exceeding ₹15 crore or ₹20 crore?

A separate ministry should be established to specifically understand and address the unique challenges faced by small-scale industries. Providing such a dedicated authority would help protect and strengthen the small-scale sector.

Therefore, CIA has urged both the Central and State Governments to jointly establish and implement a separate ministry for small-scale industries.

Had the pleasure of interacting with Hon’ble Mr. K. S. Sri Giri Prasath, MLA of Singanallur Constituency , Coimbatore , and Honorable Mrs. Kanimozhi Santhosh, MLA of Goundampalayam Constituency, at their offices in Coimbatore.

It was a valuable and meaningful interaction where we exchanged thoughts on public engagement, regional development, and the future growth opportunities for the MSME sector. During the meetings, I had the opportunity to hand over our MSME book and convey my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for their continued success and leadership.

Such interactions strengthen the connection between industry and public leadership, creating better opportunities for the sustainable development of Coimbatore and its MSME ecosystem.

CGST Principal Commissioner திரு Dinesh Rao Panker (IRS) அவர்கள் தலைமையில் நடைபெற்ற MSME–GST ஆலோசனை கோவை மாவட்டம் / மண்டலத்திற்கான கூட்டத்தில் CIA தலைவர் திரு தேவகுமார் அவர்களுடன் இணைந்து கலந்து கொண்டோம்.

இந்த கூட்டத்தில், Job Work தொடர்பான GST விகிதத்தை 18% இலிருந்து 5% ஆக குறைக்க வேண்டிய தொடர்கோரிக்கையை உட்பட, பல்வேறு GST தொடர்பான பிரச்சனைகள் குறித்து நமது CIA சார்பில் எடுத்துரைத்தோம்.

மேலும், கோவை முக்கிய சங்கங்களின் பிரதிநிதிகளும் கலந்து கொண்டு CGST தொடர்பான பல்வேறு சிக்கல்கள் குறித்து விவாதித்து, அவற்றிற்கு உரிய தீர்வுகள் வழங்க வேண்டும் என கோரிக்கை வைத்தனர்.

தமிழக அரசின் மூத்த அமைச்சர் மாண்புமிகு திரு. செங்கோட்டையன் MLA அவர்களை CIA சார்பாக மரியாதை நிமித்தமாக சந்தித்து, கோயம்புத்தூர் MSME Next-G அமைப்புகளின் சார்பில் புதிய தமிழக அரசாங்கத்திற்கு வாழ்த்துகளை தெரிவித்தோம்.

அதே நேரத்தில், கோயம்புத்தூரின் வளர்ச்சிக்குத் தேவையான MSME தொடர்பான திட்டங்கள் மற்றும் அடிப்படை உட்கட்டமைப்பு வசதிகளை விரைந்து செயல்படுத்துமாறு கோரிக்கை மனு வழங்கப்பட்டது.

முக்கிய கோரிக்கைகள்:

1)திறப்புநிலைக்கு தயாராக உள்ள பெரியார் அறிவுலகத்தை உடனடியாக திறக்க நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டும். மேலும் அதில் 2 தளங்களில் MSME தொழில்துறைக்கான Incubation Centre அமைக்க வேண்டும்.

2) கோவையில் செயல்படுத்த வேண்டிய தொழில் வளர்ச்சி திட்டங்கள் குறித்து, தொழில்துறையினருடன் அமைச்சர்கள் மற்றும் அரசு பிரதிநிதிகள் கலந்து கொள்ளும் ஆலோசனை கூட்டத்தை உடனடியாக நடத்த வேண்டும்.

3) MSME நிறுவனங்களின் குறைபாடுகள் மற்றும் மின் நிலைக்கட்டணம் தொடர்பான கோரிக்கைகளை உடனடியாக பரிசீலனை செய்து தீர்வு காண வேண்டும்.

4) மாணவர்கள் மற்றும் MSME நிறுவனங்களுக்கிடையிலான கூட்டு பயிற்சி திட்டங்களை செயல்படுத்த, தொழில்துறையுடன் இணைந்த குழு அமைக்க வேண்டும்.

5) சின்னவேடம்பட்டி, கணபதி, சரவணம்பட்டி, வெள்ளக்கிணறு, கோவில் பாளையம் உள்ளிட்ட தொழில் சாலைகள் மற்றும் அடிப்படை தொழில் உட்கட்டமைப்பு வசதிகளை மேம்படுத்த வேண்டும். இதற்காக தொழில்துறையினரும் பொதுமக்களும் கலந்து கொள்ளும் கூட்டம் நடத்தப்பட வேண்டும்.

6) புதிய மாநில அரசு, தேர்தல் வாக்குறுதிகளை நிறைவேற்றி, கோவை மற்றும் கொங்கு மண்டலத்தின் வளர்ச்சியை உறுதிப்படுத்த வேண்டும்.

3)Providing continuous DGFT-supported Export Training Programs for micro-level industries

4) Connecting management students and colleges with MSME Export Development Programs

5)Improving Coimbatore Airport cargo facilities and export infrastructure

6) Simplifying container transportation connectivity to Tuticorin, Chennai, and Kochi ports

We also presented important requests related to MSME banking support, skilled manpower requirements, and export-oriented development initiatives before the District Collector.

On behalf of CIA, we emphasized that transforming micro and small industries into exporters can significantly strengthen not only Coimbatore’s economy but also India’s economic growth.

The District Collector and DGFT officials assured that necessary steps would be taken regarding these requests.
