Breaking news: Air India Plane Crashed 12/6/2025 A plane crashed near the Ahmedabad airport in Gujarat on Thursday, with visuals showing smoke bellowing from the crashed parts. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has said that the plane “crashed immediately after takeoff from Ahmedabad.” It has confirmed that 242 people were on board, consisting of two pilots and 10 cabin crew. The aircraft was under the command of Captain Sumeet Sabharwal with First Officer Clive Kundar.The DGCA’s statement says the plane was a Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Air India has released an initial statement: “Flight AI171, operating Ahmedabad-London Gatwick, was involved in an incident today, 12 June 2025.
