Today, Radiant Design officially inaugurated the Makino EDGE 2i Sinker EDM.
This state-of-the-art addition reinforces our commitment to delivering the highest standards of precision and quality in toolmaking and complex machining.
We were honored to have Mr. Kothandaraman Parthasarathy grace the occasion. It was a momentous start as he officially commissioned the machine.

We were pleased to host our visitor from Norway!
The visit centred around fuel management system components, where we demonstrated our expertise in precision moulds, process capabilities, and our approach to manufacturing.

It was an opportunity to walk them through our products, processes, and engineering approach and to discuss how we align our manufacturing systems with their requirements and standards.
While walking the overseas manufacturers to our shop floor, we always get some technical insights into the processes and norms they follow.
We are truly grateful to host them at our facility.
Glad to share that Radiant Design has a new Makino EDGE2i on our shopfloor.
A solid step forward for us.
It will allow us to manage finer details, tighter tolerances, and more intricate mould work with more consistency, making everyday machining slightly more reliable and capable.

To walk through this machining stage, as tool reach increases, deflection becomes more common, chip evacuation gets restricted, heat starts building up, and even minor instability begins to reflect in surface finish and worsen the accuracy.
To minimise these after-effects, our primary approach is to manage these variables together, not in isolation.
We use high-rigidity toolholders that offer minimal runout, applying adaptive/trochoidal toolpaths to maintain consistent engagement, carefully balancing spindle speeds and feed rates based on cutting conditions.
And lastly, in the operation, we ensure effective coolant delivery to clear chips and control temperature. Step-down and step-over are calibrated continuously to keep cutting forces stable and tool wear predictable.
