XPCamper The First Sandwich Composite ‘Pop-Up’ Camper

After seven years of development, San Francisco-based XPCamper has launched the world’s first ‘pop-up’ camper that features a monocoque sandwich composite body.

Th e jury comprised journalists represent ingeleven of Europe’s leading yachting magazines,each of which had carried out a detailedtesting program covering all of the nominated yachts.Th e journalists were unanimous in their praise of the 372. Wind blade manufacturers' ability to compete in the wind industry today is highlydependant on the quality and efficiency of their manufacturing operation. CCG is therefore introducing a structured training course that is directed specifically towards wind blade production.

B28 RACE BOATS :

The B28 has proven very successful both in race boat - pleasure boat driven. The B28 has won several championship in offshore racing.

The construction materials make the boat extremely light, stiff and strong. These features and the unique design, makes it possible to achieve very good performance both in rough and flat water conditions.

20 FEET MILITARY CONTAINERS:

This is a multi purpose unit. The unit is designed for easy transportation both on trucks and in airplanes. There are also high requirements on sound and thermal insulation. The container is built on standard roller bed frame( roll on roll off container). On that frame an upper steel frame is added. This frame is designed to stand the global loads on the container for example the load from several similar containers piled on the container.

walls, roof and floor are built of self carrying sandwich panels. The sandwich panels are built to transfer local loads to the steel frame

NEMESIS RACEPLANE:


Class IF1 air racing involves aircraft circumnavigating a three mile course at speeds in excess of 250 m.p.h and at altitudes as low as 50 ft. Each turn is marked by a pylon and the aim is to take a turn as sharp and as fast as possible. The result is that the planes and pilots have to withstand high G forces.


The most successful in the 51 years history of air racing is Nemesis In just 8 years Nemesis and its pilot Jon Sharp broke 15 world speed records, set the qualifying record, lap record and race record for every course they flew and were undefeated in 44 consecutive starts.


DIAB based sandwich composites were used extensively in the fuselage and wings of nemesis.

Nemesis successor, the NXT, is currently being built and will also use DIAB cores

LNG STORAGE TANK INSULATION:
The LNG receiving tank owned and operated by Korea Gas has ten 100.000 Kl storage tanks all with bottom and wall insulation consisting of Klegecell and Divinycell foam .

The insulation system is made of 180mm foam insulation with plywood adhered to both sides

One of its interesting projects is providing DIAB sandwich composite components for the Viperjet.

The two seater jet can cruise at a speed of 450 Knots, is fully aerobatic, has STOL capabilities.

HABITABLE SLEDGE:

Pictured here is the first rigid and habitable sledge in Antartica.

The capsule was engineered by Barracuda Advanced Composites using a combination of carbon and aramid fibers over a DIVINYCELL core.

The sledge is very light and weighs just 22 Kg. It was able to withstand buffeting by 130 Km winds.

As a result of the cores insulation properties, it was very comfortable +20 C inside despite the outside temp being -15 C

Solar panels are mounted on the other side will help charge electronic equipments.

SparrowHawk Glider:

It has an unequal climb performance compared to other sail planes. To achieve outstanding strength and stiffness, the sparrowHawk is constructed using oven cured , aerospace grade, carbon fiber, epoxy prepreg and DIVINYCELL HT cores.

It weighs just 70 Kg. It can be towed using a small saloon car, assembled in minutes and retrieved easily.
