*World Environment Day Celebration – Environmental Conservation Initiative by YRC at Valluvar Vanam, Sonalur, Chennai*

On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Youth Red Cross of Panimalar Engineering College, in collaboration with the Tamil Nadu Forest Department and Environmentalist Foundation of India (EFI), organized an environmental awareness and conservation activity at Valluvar Vanam, Sonalur.

📌 Event Highlights:
• Environmental awareness and conservation activity.
• Inaugural address by Forest Ranger Mr. Abdul Hameed.
• Awareness session on environmental conservation and biodiversity protection.
• Sapling plantation drive to promote green cover and environmental sustainability.
• Mulching activity for plant growth and soil health improvement.
• Active participation of YRC volunteers.

The event was inaugurated by Forest Ranger Mr. Abdul Hameed, who addressed the volunteers and shared valuable insights on the importance of environmental conservation, biodiversity protection, and the role of youth in creating a sustainable future. The session motivated participants to actively contribute towards preserving nature and maintaining ecological balance.

Collaborative efforts of YRC, the Tamil Nadu Forest Department, and EFI made the event both educational and impactful.

The World Environment Day celebration at Valluvar Vanam, Sonalur concluded successfully, inspiring volunteers to continue their efforts towards environmental protection and sustainable living.
