The Tribune School Hosts Enthralling Welcome Assembly for New Academic Session 2024-25.

The Tribune School, Chandigarh commenced its new academic session with an electrifying Welcome Assembly, organized jointly by the English and the Music department, on April 08, 2024. The school buzzed with excitement as students were greeted with vibrant welcome boards crafted by the Art department, adding a splash of color and warmth to the environment.

Principal Mrs. Rani Poddar graced the assembly with her presence and delivered an inspiring address, emphasizing the importance of consistency in studies, regularity,
discipline and commitment to learning .Her words resonated with the entire school community, setting a positive tone for the year ahead.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, class teachers welcomed their respective students with a traditional Tilak ceremony, symbolizing auspicious beginnings and fostering a sense of belongingness among the students.

The assembly not only marked the beginning of a new academic journey but also celebrated the spirit of unity and camaraderie that defines The Tribune School.

As the school gears up for another year of growth and achievements, the administration, faculty, and students alike are poised to embrace the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead, guided by the values of excellence, integrity, and community.

The Tribune School
Welcomed the Kindergarteners with a traditional TILAK CEREMONY which was followed by a welcome activity. Students participated with great enthusiasm and courage. Teachers helped the children to get acquainted with the routine of the school and classroom. The day ended well.

The Tribune School conducted a dynamic, informative and enriching teachers workshop for the academic session 2024-25 under the guidance of extremely experienced resource person Dr. Reetinder Mohan. She is an eminent psychologist with a career record spanning almost four decades in the fields of academics, human resource system, counselling and reforms in educational methods etc. The workshop was based on the themes Increasing Productivity and Managing Stress which proved to be beneficial for the teachers to meet the challenges in the upcoming session. Inculcating a sense of collaboration, this workshop facilitated an open interaction and active participation of teachers.
In the end, Madam Principal Mrs. Rani Poddar appreciated and honoured our resource person for sharing her knowledge, expertise and skills with our teachers.

The Tribune School held its concluding Parent Teacher meet on March 28,2024. Alongwith it an extravagant appreciation of our talented toppers was displayed in the school.It was a great interaction between the teachers & parents for the development of their children. The discussion involved strengths & the areas of improvements over the sharing of report cards. The PTM came to an end with the conclusion that the progress of students depends on the joint efforts of parents & teachers for fostering the holistic development of students.

The Tribune School declared the result of grade- XI on 16 March 2024.A Parent-Teacher meet was conducted where students were appreciated and congratulated for their successful completion of one year of Senior Secondary. The Principal of the school, Mrs Rani Poddar presented gifts to the academic toppers as well as for their full attendance during the session. Parents were enthralled to see the new subjects to be introduced in grade-12. The music department orchestrated a series of harmonious compositions for the students' delight.

-BRITISH COLLABORATION PROJECT



The second phase of collaboration of The Tribune School with High Hazels Academy Sheffield, England gave more fruitful results. In this exchange, letters were written by students of Grade I and II of both the schools and students participated enthusiastically sharing their festival experiences with each other.
We are extremely delighted with this Pen and Pal program and would like to continue this program in future aswell.

"Everything is theoretically impossible, until it is done."

tGELF(The Global Education and Leadership Foundation) along with SAGE volunteers orchestrated an engaging and enlightening "STEM WORKSHOP" in The Tribune School for the students of Grade 7(A&B). Science based experiments were conducted and students upgraded their skills and knowledge via hands on experience activities performed along with SAGE volunteers. Students will get to explore the vibrant world of science and technology with the fuse of creativity with circuits.
The Flower Circuit workshop promises an exhilarating exploration of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) subjects. Students were nurtured to build a community of STEM enthusiasts who will go on to shape a brighter, more sustainable future. 🌏🌻
Undoubtedly, this hands on experience not only allowed students to delve into the intricacies of science but also illuminated the practical application of this knowledge.

The Tribune School conducted an "Orientation Session cm Parent Teacher Meeting" for the parents of Grade X students. In this session, special focus was driven towards providing right support and counselling before Class X board examinations. Also, to provide right direction in order to make their wards' learning experience more memorable and enriching. Positive counselling and examination tips were given by counselling cell and examination department to the parents. Mrs. Rani Poddar Principal thanked parents for their constant support, trust and belief in our institution and looked forward to maintain this bond for the upcoming session as well.

The Tribune School, conducted an assembly to celebrate The Gurupurab of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Embarking with soul- stirring shabads "Saas Saas Simro Gobind" and "Deh Shivaye Varmohe ", students of Grade IX enlightened everyone with the life history of Guru Sahib through poems, vaar and sakhis. The staff and students were served Prasad thereafter.
The Principal Mrs Rani Poddar, addressed the students and encouraged them to follow the path of truthfulness, bravery and unwavering faith. She also narrated that we should be thankful for the blessings we have received from the Almighty.

The Tribune School has celebrated "Veer Bal Divas" to pay homage to great valour and supreme sacrifice of Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh, the younger sons of 10th Sikh Guru- Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji. Several activities such as online quiz on my governmentportal , paiting competition, poem recitation and story telling were conducted in our school. Children of grade IV to IX were also shown movie Chaar Sahibzada to highlight the bravery of the younger sons of Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji. Students understood the significance of justice and truthfulness in true terms.

"Being the reason for someone's smile"

Interact Club of The Tribune School along with Rotary Club Mohali Mid Town comprising of 20 students conducted an impressive outreach program in the slum areas near Ghaggar river and Sanjay Colony. Huge donations in the form of clothes, quilts, shoes, caps etc were contributed by our school students and faculty members. Principal Mrs. Rani Poddar motivated the students to take up this nobel cause and help those in need during these harsh winters. A sense of fulfillment was felt by the interactors of our school who took the initiative to bring some warmth and smiles to the underprivileged lot.

Kindergarten Delight Unveils a Magical Showcase of Talent at The Tribune School, Chandigarh.

Chandigarh, December 23, 2023 – The Tribune School in Chandigarh celebrated a delightful annual function, "Kinder Delight," on Saturday, December 23, 2023. The event, held at the school's premises, showcased the remarkable talents of its kindergarten students in a mesmerizing program. Mrs.Chand Nehru ,Mrs. Komal Anand and Mrs. Anuradha Dua were the special guest on the occasion.

The festivities commenced with a warm Welcome Address, setting the stage for an enchanting evening. The ceremonial Lighting of the Lamp followed, symbolizing the enlightenment of young minds at The Tribune School.

Principal Mrs Rani Poddar shared insights and encouragement, emphasizing the school's commitment to nurturing holistic development. The youngest stars of the school, Nursery A, captivated hearts with their rendition of The Welcome Song.

Motivational energy was infused into the event through interspersed Motivational Slogans, keeping the audience engaged and inspired throughout the program. Nursery B took the stage with the lively performance of *Sing Kookabura Sing,* adding a touch of joy to the evening.

LKG-A presented *The Sunshine Song,* radiating warmth and positivity, while UKG students showcased their talents with the dance drama *Govardhandhari Krishna,* a mesmerizing performance that left the audience spellbound.

LKG-B brought smiles with their heartwarming performance of *It's a World of Laughter,* spreading joy and laughter among the attendees.

The festive spirit continued with a lively *Medley - It's Christmas Time,* celebrating the joyous season. The program concluded with the *Vote of Thanks,* expressing gratitude to all participants, parents, and the school community for their unwavering support.

As a mark of unity and patriotism, the evening concluded with the melodious rendition of the *National Anthem,* fostering a sense of pride and camaraderie.

A Two Day Capacity Building Workshop was conducted by CBSE in The Tribune School for Political Science Teachers dated 15 and 16 December 2023. The resource persons were Ms. Ravinder Kaur (Vice Principal Baptist School, Chandigarh), Mr. Sanjay V Bajaj from DAV Model School sector-15 with 25 years of experience.
It was well planned and executed workshop. The resource persons share their professional knowledge and experience with the teachers which has helped inculcating new learning skills in them. A total of 48 teachers attended this workshop from all over Punjab and tricity. Overall it was an enriching experience for the teachers.

Her talent has been acknowledged with a cash prize of Rs10,000 along with a momento and certificate. Madam Principal Mrs. Rani Poddar congratulated her for this commendable achievement and provided best wishes for upcoming national level competition.

Read-A-Thon Tribune School

Reading is one of most satisfying food for the brain.To Instill the habit of reading amongst children of young age is an essential requirement. To promote this habit , A reading marathon was organised at The Tribune School for Classes IV and V.

The winners of the Read-a-Thon were Ravneet Singh , Prashant Singh , and Aashna from Class V and Agatha from Class IV. The young readers were awarded with certificates and prizes by the Principal, Ms Rani Poddar.
She motivated all the students to develop a love for reading to enjoy the magic of the written words in a book.

Special empasis on youth making significant changes in the society were also highlighted. It is an innovative and exciting platform for the budding generations to learn and respect the environment which has given them all the necessary resources.

The Tribune School is proudly associated with Rotary Club Mohali Mid-town. In a significant ceremony the dignitaries from Rotary Club and Adult literacy along with Principal Mrs. Rani Poddar formally installed the interact club in the school for the session 2023-24. A pinning ceremony of badge was done for the President Arnav Sharma, student of Grade IX.

President Arnav Sharma shared the yearly plan and projects their club would undertake during the year. A special highlight was the inauguration of Adult Literary Program where volunteer members of The Tribune School will contribute towards "DIKSHA MODEL"(EACH ONE TEACH ONE). The volunteers of interact club promised to bring leadership into action with the pledge of "Service above self".

Rotary President Mr. Amarjit Singh and Literacy Chairperson Ms. Poonam Gupta in their speeches motivated the young interactors to work for the betterment of the society with a virtue of leadership, forbearance, benevolence and wished good luck for future endeavours.

A day of fun and frolic at The Tribune School -
The Tribune School organised The Annual School Fete 2023-24 in the school premises on November 9, 2023 on the occasion of Children’s Day. A plethora of games and eatables stalls were put up by the teachers of the school. The Photo Booth and Tattoo Corner were both a hit among the students. Merry throngs of students enjoyed and danced their way to the lively tunes through the fete. The students and teachers alike, had a gala time at the fun event.

To celebrate the most incredible beings on this planet - children, Children’s Day was celebrated with great zeal at The Tribune School on November 8, 2023, through a Special Assembly by the teachers. The Principal, Mrs. Rani Poddar began the assembly with the recitation of teachers’ prayer for the students which was followed by the chanting of mantras. Teachers conveyed their special messages to the students, sharing their insights, wishes and blessings. Children dressed up as ‘Chacha Nehru’ shared details about his life and his contribution towards the city of Chandigarh. Musical Medley and colourful garba performance were the main highlights of the assembly.

A Trip to Peace Valley
Nestled in the heart of nature's tranquility, our journey to Peace Valley promised to be a memorable escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Surrounded by lush greenery and water, Peace Valley is hidden gem and a deeper connection with nature.

The students of classes I and II went for an Educational trip to Peace Garden 🪴 with their teachers. They visited there in the school bus, they enjoyed the nature and it’s beauty, saw migratory birds 🦅, followed by art work. They relished their refreshment . They have learnt about different trees, plants and nature. It was a fun filled day.

Another feather in the cap as The Tribune School shines in the music competitions being organised by DAV Senior Secondary School( Lahore), Sector-8C, Chandigarh. Tribunians once again brought laurels in two different categories. Krishna of Grade VIII has won second prize in the Bhajan category whereas in the Group Gong category our school team has secured a 1st consolation prize.
