Mermaid Restaurant

Friday 27th march will be the last evening for this season . I want to take this opportunity to say thanks to all our wonderful customers . We had a great season thanks to your support . Looking forward to see you all next season as will be our 29 year running the mermaid.

Tonight special lasagna and for dessert strawberry pavlova .
Most likely this will be the last Saturday I’m rolling pasta this season.

Today’s lunch menu , freshly baked bagels with roast beef , smoked salmon or feta cheese and picked beetroot

Tonight’s special is chicken apricot tagine served on a bed of couscous

We still have gas but not for much longer . So if you want to visit the restaurant before we cut down the menu to items we can cook without gas book a table today or tomorrow.

Today’s special is lasagna and I will also make a triple chocolate cheesecake. Since we are trying our best to save gas due to no delivery of cylinders we are not frying French fries , so the continental dishes are now served with either potato or potato dauphinoise .

I have done lasagnas every Saturday full season but since restaurant have been fully booked days ahead of Saturdays I have not been able to advertise. So for you that’s been missing out I made extra lasagnas for today’s special and dessert of the day is triple chocolate cheesecake.
