Theekutty chathan thira !

It is a manthramoorthy of very powerfull and was born as a child to kalakattu namboodiri. Due to non-veg habits and disobedience father himself killed the child and thrown into different firepits, those pieces placed in fire pits emerged as Mantra Moorthies and Kuttichattans and destroyed Kalattillam as a whole. Some prominent Kuttichattan names are Pookkutti Chattan, Thee Kutti Chattan, Mani Kutti Chattan, Ucha Kutti Chattan, Anthi Kutti Chathan, Shaiva Kutti Chattan, Karim Kutti Chathan, Manthra Kutti Chattan. Some are saivite and some are vaishanvite and some are kuttichathan itself.

ഉത്തരകേരളത്തിൽ കെട്ടിയാടുന്ന ഒരു തെയ്യമാണ്‌ കുട്ടിച്ചാത്തൻ തെയ്യം അഥവാ കുട്ടിശാസ്തൻ തെയ്യം. പതിനെട്ടു ബ്രാഹ്മണ കുടുംബക്കാർ ആരാധിച്ചു പോരുന്ന മന്ത്രമൂർത്തിയാണ്‌ കുട്ടിച്ചാത്തൻ. മാന്ത്രികത്വമുള്ള കുട്ടിച്ചാത്തന്മാരിൽ പ്രാധാന്യമുള്ളവ കരിങ്കുട്ടി, പൂക്കുട്ടി, തീക്കുട്ടി, പറക്കുട്ടി, ഉച്ചക്കുട്ടി എന്നീ കുട്ടിച്ചാത്തന്മാരാണ്‌. ബ്രാഹ്മണേതര കുടുംബങ്ങളും ഈ തെയ്യങ്ങളെ ആരാധിച്ചു വരുന്നുണ്ട്. കണ്ണൂർ ജില്ലയിലെ പയ്യന്നൂരിനടുത്തുള്ള ഒരു മന്ത്രതന്ത്ര ബ്രാഹ്മണകുടുംബമാണ്‌ കാളകാട്ട് ഇല്ലം. കാളകാട്ട് തന്ത്രിയുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട തെയ്യമാണ്‌ കുട്ടിച്ചാത്തൻ. ഈ തെയ്യത്തെ കാളകാട്ട് കുട്ടിച്ചാത്തൻ എന്നും വിളിക്കാറുണ്ട്. വൈഷ്ണവാംശം ഉള്ള ഒരു തെയ്യമാണ്‌ കുട്ടിച്ചാത്തൻ.
