Everybody Matters. And everybody showed up.
From dances and dramas to songs, snacks, and seriously fun games — weeks of teamwork turned into a mela full of joy, pride, and community. Hundreds of children and parents, one big celebration of belonging.

From handmade bags, jewellery and spices to homegrown vegetables from our land in Rajarhat to delicious home cooked food and light displays made by our Barrackpore & school science students 💫 …more to come !

Here comes our 2025 Mela!

With the theme 'Everybody Matters' Future Hope is buzzing with Mela preparations and excitement. We reckon the Mela is one of the most special events in the Future Hope calendar, perhaps bettered only by the teamwork that goes into getting organised for it.

It is all about seeing children's ideas come to life - whether crafting jewellery and bags, decorating the school, rehearsing for performances, solving problems or just lending a hand. Team work to the fore, Mela time is here!

Jasmine and Ananya had a great time at the music improvisation camp at New Town School, led by Danish musicians Maria Dyybroe and Ida Brinch — creating some beautiful music and making friends with children from other schools.

Engrossed by quiz mania!

With six action-packed rounds the Man Singh Quiz brought a buzz to school, with students from Classes 6 to 12 joining in with enthusiasm! Kicking off with General Knowledge, into an exciting Sports Round, and then testing sharp minds through Picture Identification, Audio Recognition, Logical Reasoning, and Movies & Entertainment.

A surprise seventh round — a Lucky Draw for the audience — kept everyone on their toes, with teachers tossing out fun bonus questions.

Energy was high in the hotly contesed annual event but in the end Cobra House claimed the championship title, with Tiger House proudly finishing as runners-up!

Nearly time for our annual Mela and excitement is building as preparations continue. Please join us to celebrate that 'Everybody Matters'.

Curious young astronomers had fun at a telescope-making workshop organised by Lodha Genius and Presidency University! They kicked things off with an online session exploring the history of telescopes, their different types, how they work, and Galileo’s major discoveries. Then came the best part — building their very own telescopes with guidance from a professor.

“It’s so exciting to have our own proper telescope — and one that's made by us!” says Mehrun.

We love meeting our parents, but this session was especially important. In partnership with CMRI, we spoke to them about cervical cancer prevention and took consent for the HPV vaccination for their girls.

As a step toward combating the second most common cancer in Indian women, CMRI Kolkata has launched a free clinic for girls and young women — making early protection easier and more accessible.

Grateful to be part of a movement that keeps our girls informed and protected.
