It was yet another relax day of the drive for me and the plan was to drive around Bhoramdev and randomly shoot whatever I see.

From there I drove to Bhoramdev Wildlife Sanctuary but could not enter as it was closed for visitors, but I manged to record some nice Sound Recordings outside it.
On the way back I did some more sound recordings and then did some offroad drive.
In the evening I visted the Bhoramdev Temple

After spending a relax day at Chitrakote waterfall, it was time to start the return journey, but via some unseen places of Chattisgarh.
First leg of the drive was from Chitrakote Waterfall to Raipur, and on the way I visited Tatamari and Gangrel Dam. The experience of the gangrel dam was amazing specially during monsoon.
From there I drove to Raipur to my friend's place who hosted for lunch and we had some amazing discussions.
From Raipur I drove to Kwardha and then took the forest route to Bhoramdev and stayed for the night at a beautiful property, Bhoramdeo Forest Retreat.

Some more amazing stuff introduced by TASCAM.
I really love the form factor of this new field recorder. With 32 bit float recording and Timecode support, this could be a nice solution for cinematographers looking for a portable field studio recorder.
I guess zoom need to catch up fast :P

Unseen Beautiful Culture of Pangi Valley - Dakhrain Mela - Pangi EP8
With the confusion of the dates of Dakhrain Mela at Hudan Bhatori, I left from killar at around 8 AM. This mela was one of my major agenda item for this Pangi valley drive. hence I wanted to document it anyways possible.
With the rain last night, drive from Killar to Hudan via Takwas and Tundru was absolutely amazing and breathtaking. I was literally driving through the clouds at most part of the drive to Hudan.
I reached Hudan by 9:15 am and I was right on time. People were gathering at Hudan bhatori, getting ready to carry the deity to bheem taal for the prayers and festivals.
I left my other stuff at the homestay at Hudan Bhatori, and carried the bare essential camera items and walked with the procession all the way to bheem taal.
There I spend almost 6 hours recording the beautiful Pangwali and Bhotiya culture in the form dances, music, dresses, food etc.
at around 5 pm I left back for the homestay, had few cups of tea with host and then drove to the hudan monastery for making call back at home.

Did I miss Dakhrain Mela? - Drive from Chasak to Parmar Bhatori - Pangi Valley EP7
After a wonderful last night sleep at the homestay of Chasak Bhatori, it was a wonderful morning today. Early morning I took some time-lapses and walked around the village and talked to the locals.
Around 9AM we started our trek back to chasak village, which took me around 90mins this time. At chasak village I had tea and some food at my guide's house and then I left for Parmar Bhatori.
On the way I stopped at Sechu to buy some snacks and drinks and then drove non stop. The views were so beautiful that I missed the turn just before Sach village that takes you to Kumar and then Parmar Bhatori. and eventually ended up at Phindru, where dhaba owner sent me back to right route.
From Sach towards Kumar, there is a tarmac road for I guess 3 -4 km, and after that it all broken trail. On the way I checked the only homestay at Kumar and decided to take a call of staying here or not later.
I drove straight to Parmar Bhatori first and visited the monastery and then had a cup of tea at the lama ji's house. While talking to them, they told me that Dakhrain mela was today and not tomorrow, which shocked me. All this time I was planning for 18-19 July for the mela.
Finally I decided to drive back to Killar and reconfirm the dates.
