Bengaluru, Karnataka: On domestic LPG price hike, State Cabinet Minister Eshwar Khandre says, “The middle class and the poor people are in shock…the total price increase is to the extent of Rs 90. The prices of petrol and diesel have also been increased for 3 to 4 times. Commercial gas cylinder prices have gone up to Rs 3,200. The govt of India is extorting money from the poor and middle-class people…even in the international market, the crude oil prices have not crossed $100 per barrel, when UPA was in power, it was $125 to $130 per barrel. They need to answer the people of India…this is the time people should come to the streets and protest against the anti-poor, anti-middle class, anti-farmer policies of the BJP-led central govt…”

On Ramalinga Reddy withdrawing his resignation, he says, “He is a very senior and loyal Congressman. His service is required for the people of the state, especially Bengaluru. The matter is settled. It’s a happy ending. We will do good governance. We will serve the people of the state with utmost sincerity, honesty, integrity, and dedication.”
