Introducing, on the occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse & Illicit Trafficking: OLS's SANKALPA, an Integrated Rehabilitation Centre for Addicts. Sankalpa's staff members travelled to Khorda to be part of a District Level Awareness Campaign to mark the day.

A snippet from yesterday's meeting with village-level Environment Protection and Disaster Preparedness Committee members, at Bhuan, (Dhanua Gram Panchayat). 🍃

The Committee met to discuss issues such as the role of community in disaster preparedness and environmental protection, and important preparedness measures to be taken at community-level, as well as discussing how to reduce plastic usage and create a pollution-free village, safeguard their area's green cover, and rain water harvesting and river protection measures.

In a disaster-prone state like Odisha, such initiatives that drive action upwards from a grassroots level are of particular importance.

💧Reviving Rivers, Restoring Life 💧

Members of River Protection Committees established under our Empowered Communitites for Environment Protection and Disaster Preparedness (ECEPDP) initiative, travelled from Nimapada to Bhubaneswar to represent needs and priorities of communities living along Kushabhadra, Bhargavi, and Dhanua river belts, at the Odisha Nadi Surakhya Sammilani (Odisha River Protection Convention) organised today by the Mahanadi Bachao Andolan (Save Mahanadi Movement) in collaboration with Open Learning Systems.

The Chief Guest at the Convention was Dr. Rajendra Singh, the Water Man of India. 💧✊🏾

We are at today for the 2025 Special Olympics State-level Badminton Selection Games. Qualifying athletes will head to Gujarat in June for the National Championships, whose winners will ultimately battle for glory at the 2027 Summer Olympics in Chile! Let's go!! 🏸💪🏾

We are extremely proud of our student, Sipra Priyadarshini, who stood up and decided to be counted as a determined Special Olympics Athlete in the World Winter Games held in Turin last month. The diminutive goalkeeper of Special Olympics Bharat was like a wall, thwarting several attempts of the oppositions at the goal in the Female Floorball competition, and was instrumental in bagging the bronze medal for the team.
