1. ACONITUM NAP.

Me**es too profuse with bleeding from nose. They are late and too protracted. Patient turns frenzied at the appearance of me**es.

In plethoric females me**es are suppressed when they are frightened or exposed to cold.

Va**na is dry, hot, sensitive to touch. Ovaries are congested, painful; sharp, shooting pains in womb.

Even in "after-pains" one will observe the

characteristic fear and restlessness.

When you treat a patient homoeopathically you should not overlook the intrinsic qualities of the drug you administer.

Fear and anxiety run through every com- plaint of Aconitum nap. Another important feature is the suddenness of the appearance of symptoms. Complaints and tension are caused by exposure to "dry cold weather". Burning in internal parts is also seen commonly. Acon. nap. is remembered in functional disease. It should never be given when pathologi cal changes have taken place.

Characteristic colic is seen in me**es sup- pressed due to anger or fear. Pain will force the patient to bend double. "Yet relief does not come".

During pregnancy Acon.nap. may be given if there are certain mental symptoms like fear of death, excitable temperament etc. The patient does not want to cross the street for fear of something untoward happening.

Another peculiar condition is that she is intolerant of music. Sounds are unbearable.

In puerperal fevers she may even predict the

hour of death (Arg. nit; Coffea).

During labour the pains are unnaturally violent, rapid and frequent. The patient will complain that she cannot bear the pain. She is restless and anxious. In addition the body will be covered with "hot sweat".

The mammary glands will be hot, swollen and dry, associated with restlessness and anxiety.

Lochia will be suppressed from exposure or due to some violent emotion but it must be 1 accompanied by high fever, thirst, and anxiety. conditions be observed even in
