Today, School of Media and Communication organised an Evening MasterClass with International Kolkata Short Film Festival (IKSFF) for our students. The MasterClass focused on the domain knowledge of the coverage of an event of International repute. As in the month of January 2025, there is international short film festival for 5 days (Jan 21-26, 2025). The SoMC students would get hands-on-training on various aspects of event management like social media marketing, public relations, guest handling, reporting and anchoring during the event. They would work closely with the IKSFF team members. Last month on August 19, we had signed an MoU with IKSFF. Adamas University would be one of the venue partners. Another Kolkata based venue partner is Rotary Sadan near (Exide crossing). This is for the first time such prestigious collaboration has unfolded, which would add a new vistas for both SoMC and Adamas University in branding perspective. The IKSFF team members who were present - Sourav Chakraborty, Festival Chairman, Saswati Guha Chakraborty, Festival Director, Rick Majumdar , Festival Co-Ordinator and Subhasri Das, Festival Programming Team Member.

Traditional Ranna Pujo in West Bengal Ranna Pujo or a cooking festival is usually observed on the day of Vishwakarma Puja. It is celebrated widely across West Bengal.

On September 10, School of Media and Communication launched Adamas Films, the in-house production house. There were 5 short films screened at Rabindranath Tagore Auditorium produced by SoMC students.

On September 5, our beloved students presented an extravaganza show at Rabindranath Tagore Auditorium by celebrating Teachers’ Day with the honourable Associate Dean, Prof. Dr. Akashdeep Muni and all other faculty members.
