Deeply saddened by the untimely passing of Shri Suraj Hegde. His demise is a profound loss to Indian politics and to all who knew him.

A dedicated organiser and committed party worker, Suraj will be remembered for his sincerity, humility, and unwavering service to the organisation. My heartfelt condolences to his wife Smt. Shilpa ji, his sons Samrudh and Vishruth, and the entire bereaved family.

May the Almighty grant them strength and bless his soul with eternal peace.

ಶ್ರೀ ಸೂರಜ್ ಹೆಗ್ಡೆ ಅವರ ಅಕಾಲಿಕ ನಿಧನದ ಸುದ್ದಿ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ದುಃಖವನ್ನುಂಟು ಮಾಡಿದೆ. ಅವರ ಅಗಲಿಕೆ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಅರಿತಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ತುಂಬಲಾರದ ನಷ್ಟವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಸಮರ್ಪಿತ ಸಂಘಟಕರಾಗಿಯೂ, ನಿಷ್ಠಾವಂತ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರಾಗಿಯೂ ಗುರುತಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಸೂರಜ್ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸರಳತೆ, ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸೇವಾ ಮನೋಭಾವಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸದಾ ನೆನಪಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿಯಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರ ಪತ್ನಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಶಿಲ್ಪಾ ಅವರು, ಪುತ್ರರಾದ ಸಮೃದ್ಧ್ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಶ್ರುತ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸದಸ್ಯರಿಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಸಂತಾಪಗಳು.

ಅಗಲಿದ ಆತ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ಚಿರಶಾಂತಿ ದೊರಕಲಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಕುಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ಈ ದುಃಖವನ್ನು ಭರಿಸುವ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಸಿಗಲಿ.

This moment is particularly special for me, as my association with Shri Hariprasad goes back several decades to our formative years in student politics.

I had the privilege of serving as NSUI General Secretary, and he later carried that legacy forward with distinction, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to the ideals of the movement. Since then, I have witnessed his remarkable journey as an able organiser, principled leader, and steadfast voice for democratic and secular values.

I wish my dear friend every success as he takes on this significant role. May his tenure bring greater unity, organisational strength, and new momentum to the organisation.

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಪ್ರದೇಶ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಸಮಿತಿ ( KPCC ) ಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ ನೇಮಕಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಶ್ರೀ ಬಿ. ಕೆ. ಹರಿಪ್ರಸಾದ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಅಭಿನಂದನೆಗಳು.

ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭ ನನಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಸಂತೋಷವನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಶ್ರೀ ಹರಿಪ್ರಸಾದ್ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗಿನ ನನ್ನ ಒಡನಾಟವು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ರಾಜಕೀಯದ ದಿನಗಳಿಂದಲೇ ಆರಂಭವಾಗಿದೆ. ನಾನು NSUI ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾಗ ಬಿಕೆ ಹರಿಪ್ರಸಾದ್ ರವರು ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದ್ಯೋಗಿ ನನ್ನ ನಂತರ ಅವರು NSUI ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಯಾಗುವ ಮೂಲಕ ನಿಷ್ಠೆ, ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಚಳುವಳಿಯ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳ ಮೇಲಿನ ಅಚಲ ಬದ್ಧತೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಗೌರವವನ್ನು ತಂದರು.

ಅಂದಿನಿಂದ ಇಂದಿನವರೆಗೆ ಅವರ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಪಯಣವನ್ನು ನಾನು ಬಹಳ ಹತ್ತಿರದಿಂದ ಗಮನಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಒಬ್ಬ ಸಮರ್ಥ ಸಂಘಟಕರಾಗಿ, ತತ್ವನಿಷ್ಠ ನಾಯಕರಾಗಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರಜಾಪ್ರಭುತ್ವ ಮತ್ತು ಜಾತ್ಯತೀತ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳ ಪ್ರಬಲ ಪ್ರತಿಪಾದಕರಾಗಿ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮದೇ ಆದ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಗುರುತನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಈ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ವಹಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿರುವ ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮೀಯ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರಿಗೆ ಹಾರ್ದಿಕ ಶುಭಾಶಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕೋರುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಅವರ ನಾಯಕತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಘಟನೆ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಬಲಿಷ್ಠವಾಗಲಿ,ಹರಿಪ್ರಸಾದ್ ರವರು ಜನಸೇವೆಯ ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಯಶಸ್ಸು ಸಾಧಿಸಲಿ ಎಂದು ಹಾರೈಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.
