ശാലൂരപ്പൊയ്ക: സത്വയുടെ കണ്ണ് എപ്പോഴും പ്രകൃതിയിലേക്കായിരിക്കും.
ഒരു ലാൻഡ് സ്കേപിംഗ് പ്രോജക്ട് വരുമ്പോൾ പ്രകൃതിയുമായി കൈകോർത്ത് എങ്ങനെ വ്യത്യസ്തമായി ചെയ്യാമെന്നതാണ് ഞങ്ങളുടെ ആദ്യ ചിന്ത. പൂന്തോട്ടത്തിന് നടുവിൽ ഒരു കുളം നിർമ്മിക്കണമെന്ന ആവശ്യം മുന്നിലെത്തിയപ്പോൾ പ്രകൃതി മനസ്സിലേക്കിട്ടു തന്നത് ' തവള ' എന്ന ആശയമാണ്. ആ ആശയം മുറ്റത്തേക്ക് പകരുമ്പോൾ കണ്ട് മടുത്ത സൃഷ്ടിയായിരിക്കരുതെന്ന് ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് നിർബ്ബന്ധമായിരുന്നു.
അങ്ങനെയാണ് കുളവും കരയിലൊരു തവളയും എന്ന സ്ഥിരം സങ്കൽപത്തെ അകലെ നിർത്തി തവളയുടെയുള്ളിൽ തന്നെ കുളം നിർമ്മിക്കാമെന്നും അതിലെ ജലം തവളയുടെ നാവായി രൂപാന്തരപ്പെടുത്താമെന്നുമുള്ള ഒരസാധാരണ ചിന്ത മനസ്സിലേക്കെത്തുന്നത്.

ചെറിയ ജീവികളെ വലുതായി നിർമ്മിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഭയാനകമായി തോന്നുമെന്നതും ഭയനാകത പൂന്തോട്ടത്തിന് ഭൂഷണമല്ലെന്നതുമായിരുന്നു ഈ പ്രോജക്ടിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ വെല്ലുവിളി. ഈ വെല്ലുവിളിയെ ഒരു ആവേശമായി കണ്ടപ്പോൾ ശിൽപ്പത്തിൻ്റെ മനോഹാരിത കൂടി എന്ന് മാത്രമല്ല, അത് പൂന്തോട്ടത്തിൻ്റെ മുഴുവൻ ഭംഗിയെ വല്ലാതെ മെച്ചപ്പെടുത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു.

നേർത്ത മഞ്ഞ് വീഴുന്ന ഒരു പ്രഭാതത്തിലോ ഇളം തെന്നൽ തഴുകുന്ന ഒരു വൈകുന്നേരത്തിലോ
ഈ ശില്പത്തിൻ്റെ തല ഭാഗത്ത് കുടുംബവുമൊത്തിരുന്ന്ശുദ്ധവായു ശ്വസിച്ച് കുളത്തിലെ ജലത്തെ കാലുകൊണ്ട് തലോടി പ്രകൃതിയെ ആശ്ലേഷിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഏത് മാനസികപ്പിരിമുറുക്കങ്ങളാണ് ചേർന്ന് നിൽക്കാൻ ധൈര്യം കാണിക്കുക, ഏത് അസ്വസ്ഥകളാണ് ദൂരെ മാറാതിരിക്കുക.
