When I was young, l used to buy Sportstar magazines and put up posters of my favourite athletes on my wall.
So, I was very excited to getting invited by Sportstar and KPMG India to the Playcom Business of Sports Summit last week. I had the pleasure to share the panel on βNew Frontiers: Wellness & Lifestyle Sports,β with Neha Parab Kandalgaonkar, Tuhin Mishra, Sameer Pathak, and Parvinn Dabass. We discussed how non-cricket sports are finding new ground and how brands are getting more deeply involved in endurance sports.
HYROX INDIA and IRONMAN INDIA are creating new avenues for community building and brands, with the playing field acting also as a content studio. At YOSKA, we will continue to build a platform that helps endurance sports grow and inspires more people to chase their own goals.

When we brought to India, the vision was clear: to build a new culture of fitness and community. Today in Mumbai, that vision feels real with our third Indian race, completely sold out.
Thousands of athletes are stepping into the arena, each with their own story and drive. Together, theyβre shaping what will become one of the biggest fitness movements in the country.
Proud morning for the HYROX India team, our partners, and above all, our athletes. Letβs race, Mumbai. π₯

We started with our debut race in Mumbai in May 2025 with 1,650 participants. Now, HYROX has a growing community in India, and today we will see 2,600 people line up at HYROX Delhi.
A fitness movement is taking shape as we grow the sport alongside the fitness community and continue our journey to make Hyrox Races the biggest endurance events in India.
One of the best aspects of the sport is its inclusivity. Weβre seeing participants from all fitness levels and age groups. Around 30% of our participants are female, which is an encouraging sign of balanced growth. Runners, gym-goers, general fitness enthusiasts, and triathletes are all taking part, enjoying the format, and making it a part of their regular training.
Thank you, India, for the support as we continue to build this together.

Earlier this month, I had the privilege to meet the IRONMAN leadership team at their headquarters in Tampa, USA, to discuss the exciting roadmap for endurance fitness in India.
Matthieu Van Veen, Chief Revenue Officer, along with Jeremy Kannβs ongoing guidance, has been instrumental in building strong brand partnerships that form the foundation of our IRONMAN India races. Their support has been key to our growth.
, CEO of the IRONMAN Group and Jeff Edwards, MD of IRONMAN Asia have been incredibly supportive of our expansion plans.
Beyond his leadership role, Scott is an avid mountaineer and it was inspiring to learn about Scottβs extraordinary personal achievement completing the Seven Summits, reaching the peak of the highest mountain on each of the seven continents. 7 summits over a period of 17 years including Mt. Everest in 2013.
Thanks to Scott, Matthieu, Jeff Edwards, and the extended IRONMAN team for their constant support as Yoska continues to grow endurance sports and build a strong community across India.
While Scott and I are pointing to India in the picture with 1 pin in Goa representing our flagship event. Our goal is to add several more pins across the country beginning in 2026.
Exciting times ahead!

With every HYROX race, I am loving the sport more and more. The energy, the challenge, and the community make it truly one-of-a-kind.

I lost a mate recently. He was my first triathlon coach, mentor and life coach. Allan Pitman is an icon and legend in the Triathlon World. He was diagnosed with Cancer about 4.5 years back and fought bravely, stayed active and lived life to the fullest until the last moment.
While he completed 49 IRONMAN events, which included 19 IRONMAN World Championships at Kona, the bigger impact he had was the 100s of people he coached and mentored and also got 75 + people to their ultimate goal of qualifying for the IRONMAN Hawaii World Championships. I was grateful to be one of them, and he guided and mentored me on my way to the IRONMAN World Championships from the time I completed my first IRONMAN in just under 16 hours. As many of his athletes will tell you, he was much more than a triathlon coach for each of us. He had a profound impact on my life and my triathlon journey, which started for me from being a novice athlete through one of the biggest transitions in my lifeβstepping away from a corporate career to follow my passion as a full-time triathlon coach, starting Yoska and develop the sport in India.
Mentors play a big role in our lives. Even when he was not coaching me, he would point me in the right direction when I wandered off, saying - βDeepak, this is not the person you are. Get back on trackβ. He imparted a lot of wisdom and mentored me for over 15 years. A couple of words of wisdom will stand out and continue to guide me through my life.
βFocus on the one square meter around youβitβs the only area you can control; everything else outside is not in your control.β
βConcentrate on the process instead of the outcome. You put in the effort, and the results will take care of itself.β
