Our intent with this residence was to create a space that fit in the urban context yet carried the spirit of traditional houses while responding to contemporary values and issues. ✔

This residence with skilful persuasion and diligent pursuit,is a masterful coup whose design is an attempt to redefine the frameworks of indoor-outdoor living in an urban context.

We intended to create a calm yet energizing environment in the dining room of this home. Very subdued wooden furniture befitting to the laid-back atmosphere theme was chosen. While the accent wall is done in a dramatic teal coloured decorative finish, which seamlessly manages to match the charm of the furniture while adding extra style and pizzaz to the space.

Our attempt to encapsulate an architecture that reflects contemporaneity with signs of formal and material austerity.

We at Studio Stimulus believe a successful retail experience is one that allows its customers to linger and wander. For Kolher’s Sanitary-Ware showroom in Bangalore, we chose to create a space that encouraged shopping and exploring. Working with a wide space, inserts of meandering, contemporary displays which act as understated backdrops were added, letting the company’s wares take center stage. Interventions are featured prominently at the showroom, either as partitions between displays or niches for displaying the wares.

The work on this is closer to carpentry than building construction, focuses on the details and encounters. Reducing to a minimum the elements, fittings, switches, etc. The objects are designed to provide the greatest possible sobriety, resulting in a high degree of enhanced spatial clarity.

A tranquil abode resplendent in a gray and yellow, coordinated with hues of brown. The highlight of this design is the usage of light to create a bright and airy ambiance with pare down furnishings to the essentials resulting in an uncluttered relaxing retreat.

Our brief on interiors for this project was to fundamentally create a space which was synonymous with simplicity, subtle sophistication, texture and clean lines.

Taking the brief further we conceptualised interiors which flawlessly balanced warmth and minimalism to create a fresh and dazzling effect. To achieve this we selected a neutral colour palette which was spruced up by layering ambient, task and accent lights.

With walls painted in a basic neutral, we had a wonderful backdrop for bold colored accessories. Smooth, clean, geometric shaped furniture pieces were curated to make a bold statement. They not only added a shot of colour and texture to the clean geometric shapes, but at the same time helped stay true to the brief of being simple and uncluttered.
The bedrooms are further finished with sleek surfaces, crisp furnishings, and cutting-edge art.
