WormGPT works by using a large language model (LLM) that has been trained on billions of words from various sources, including legitimate websites, dark web forums, hacking manuals, malware samples, phishing templates, and more. WormGPT can use this data to generate convincing phishing emails, malware code, and other cybercrime content that can fool both humans and machines.

“The way we look at it, it (generative AI) uses past code, data and experience to learn,” Subramaniam told. “And over the many years that TCS has been in business, I can use all of my knowledge as a base. So, if that technology uses and generates code that I have taught the algorithm using TCS proprietary data, then the outcome is something that I am willing to license.”
