Glass renders Part 3 🍷🥂-
Fluted glass is interesting because the vertical ridges redirect the light. This creates a unique caustics pattern that shifts as the glass moves.
Glass renders - Part 2 🥃
The Old Fashioned glass is technically interesting. Thick base, curved walls, and a geometry that seems straightforward until you start looking at how light moves through it. The base acts almost like a lens, concentrating light and throwing caustics onto the surface below with a density and spread that changes depending on wall thickness and base curvature. 🥃🥃✨✨
Glass is one of those things that separates a good render from a great one. 🫗
We decided to put that to the test. Three types, all procedurally modelled in Houdini, all about pushing how light actually behaves through different surfaces.
First up: stained glass. Colour, refraction, caustics and the way light breaks down into something almost ethereal when it passes through.
The goal wasn't just pretty renders. It was understanding why glass looks the way it does, so we can make it look right in any scene, any lighting condition, any brief.
Thank you to for setting up the lighting!
What looks like ocean footage is 100% CG.
What looks like a blue screen setup with rig is 100% CG.
All. 3D.
The best compliment a render can get is being mistaken for the real thing.
That's two layers of "wait, what?"
22 million people watched a video we made for a friend. 🪄🎶
Eight years ago we filmed our friend play Hedwig's Theme - Carnatic fusion style, on an iPad and added VFX we're still proud of.
We had no idea what was coming.
We made it for one person.
22 million strangers showed up anyway.
Also: it helps to have an incredibly talented friend who knows exactly what he's doing.

Here it is, the much awaited 2026 showreel!
Grateful that we've had another year of amazing collaborations, exciting work and terrific visuals. Onward and upward! 🌞✨🌟
More satisfying beauty sims. 💭💅
This animation with bubble-like forms colliding with each other works so well. These kinds of simulations are great for creating visually interesting movement that can be used in product films, scientific or medical visualisations, cosmetics advertising, and abstract brand visuals. Simple and yet quite interesting!
👏 for the sim!

Sharing a few stills from the film, where the mood and atmospherics really come through. The best projects are always the ones that push you to learn something new while still racing the deadlines.

Zoom in 🍫✨
Here’s a closer look at our procedural cocoa bean—every ridge, crack, and texture was generated inside Houdini with zero sculpting or painting.
Procedural doesn’t mean soulless—when done right, it’s full of happy imperfections and gritty realism.
