Few places in Dehradun manage to stay buzzing from afternoon till late night. does it with effortless ease. From laid-back lunches and after-work cocktails to lively dinners and weekend parties, this Rajpur Road favourite delivers an experience that goes beyond the plate.

Located on Rajpur Road, Romeo Lane has become a crowd favourite for all the right reasons. Step in during the day and you’ll notice the calm. There’s plenty of sunlight, leafy corners, and a menu that’s confident without being overdone. You’ll find flavours from across the globe — Modern Indian, Italian, Asian, American, and Middle Eastern — each plate thoughtfully prepared, with ingredients that are fresh, seasonal, and mostly local.
The food isn’t trying to show off. It just tastes good.

As the sun goes down, the vibe takes a sharp turn. The music rises, the bar picks up pace, and the whole place begins to hum. With cocktails made from in-house infusions and premium pours, the evenings are lively without being chaotic. It’s classy but not stiff. Social, but still intimate.
What ties it all together is the space itself. There’s something warm and welcoming about the design — biophilic interiors, soft lighting, and an effortless indoor-outdoor flow. Whether you’re catching up with friends or celebrating something big, it just fits. The rooftop especially sees a loyal crowd that returns week after week.
At the Dehradun Food Awards 2025, Romeo Lane was named Best All Day Dining Restaurant and Best Night Club. Regulars didn’t need an award to know it’s one of the best. Now everyone else does too.

At a time when food trends swing between flashy desserts and overstyled sushi, Monsoon takes a quiet but confident step back to the roots. This all-day Indian café inside Hotel LP Residency is giving Dehradun something it didn’t know it needed. A place where real Indian food is celebrated without drama.

Behind Monsoon are Abhishek and Shruti, the same duo who brought Coco Osteria, Wasabae, and CinCin to the city. Their track record may suggest another trendy spot, but Monsoon is different. This one feels personal. Born out of their travels, conversations, and memories of food shared at homes across the country.

The café is styled with intent. Solid wood furniture, lime-plastered walls, bamboo and jute elements, and enough indoor plants to make you forget it’s a restaurant. The outdoor patio opens into a kitchen garden and trees loaded with litchi, avocado, amla, and camphor. It feels honest. Like someone cared more about the vibe than the photo.

And then comes the food.

You will find dishes like Kashmiri Yakhni, Champaran Mutton, Bihari Sattu Paratha, and Carnatic Thatte Idli all on one menu. Breakfast starts early at 7:30 am and runs into an all-day spread that comfortably jumps from Gujarati Dabeli to Kerala Appam to Madurai Bun Maska. Nothing is overdone. Everything tastes like it belongs.

The real winner is the Uttarakhandi plate. It brings together Bhatt ki Churkani, Kafuli, Faran Aloo, Pahadi Raita, Bhaang Chicken, and Pisyun Loon served with Lal Bhaat and finished with Bal Mithai. It is not fusion. It is not reimagined. It is the real thing, plated with care.

No surprise then that Monsoon was named Best Restaurant for Regional Cuisine at the Dehradun Food Awards 2025, a well-deserved recognition for its rooted, thoughtful approach to Indian cooking.

“Monsoon is our ode to India’s culinary diversity. Each plate tells a story,” says Shruti.
“Our travels inspired us to bring together the lesser-known gems of Indian cuisine in a way that’s approachable and packed with flavour,” adds Abhishek.

What stands here is more than a restaurant. It is a quiet reminder that Indian food is enough. It always was.
