Jammu and Kashmir Police has finalized elaborate security arrangements for the smooth, safe, and successful conduct of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026. In coordination with other security agencies and civil administration, extensive measures have been put in place along the Yatra route to ensure the safety and security of pilgrims.
As part of the enhanced security framework, Anantnag Police has installed a state-of-the-art surveillance network comprising high-tech monitoring systems and Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based cameras at strategic locations along the pilgrimage route. These advanced surveillance systems will facilitate real-time monitoring, threat detection, crowd management, and rapid response to any emerging situation.
To further strengthen security preparedness, two specialized police units — Markhoor and Snow Leopard — have been deployed along the route. These highly trained teams are equipped to operate in challenging terrain and adverse weather conditions, ensuring round-the-clock vigilance and swift action whenever required.

Justice Rajnesh Oswal Lays Foundation Stone of New Chambers at Anantnag Court Complex

Hon'ble Justice Rajnesh Oswal of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh today laid the foundation stone for the construction of new chambers at the District Court Complex, Anantnag.

The ceremony was attended by principal district and sessions judge addl district sessions judge and other judicial officers, members of the Bar Association, court officials, and other dignitaries. Speaking on the occasion, Justice Oswal emphasized the importance of strengthening judicial infrastructure to ensure efficient and accessible delivery of justice to the public.

The proposed chambers are expected to provide improved facilities for advocates and contribute to the overall development of the court complex. Members of the legal fraternity welcomed the initiative and expressed gratitude for the continued efforts being made towards enhancing judicial infrastructure in the district.
