ਹੋਈ ਤੇਜਾਬਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਲੀਆਂ ਚ ਬਾਰਿਸ਼ , ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੁੜੀਆਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਰੋਈਆਂ, ਜਦ ਰੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੰੂ ਵੱਢ ਕੇ ਚੁਗਾਠਾਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ , ਮੇਰੀ ਜੂਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਛਾਵਾਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਰੋਈਆਂ ।
ਜਦ ਚਿੱਟੇ ਨੇ ਵਿਛਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਸੱਥਰ,
ਮੇਰੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀਆਂ ਮਾਵਾਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਰੋਈਆਂ, ਜਿਊਦਾਂ ਰਹਿ ਪੁੱਤਾ ਜਵਾਨੀਆਂ ਮਾਣੇ, ਲੱਗੀਆਂ ਨਾ ਦੁਆਵਾਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਰੋਈਆਂ
