Hey community! Been a minute 🙂 I miss you all! (So much it’s hard to express) So, I got to thinking what better excuse to throw together a last minute one off workshop and reconnect/reminisce the ChefLab days than Halloween?! 😱 We’ll explore seasonal themed famous art works 🖼️ and create our own “Munchies” (pun intended!).

Next week, during Chol Hamoed Sukkot, five cherished ChefLab alumni will be re-engaging their senses with sight, music, touch, taste, imagination and illusions (meeting reality in holiday traffic 🚘) all coming together to explore nature, creativity, and culture around the country.

Our trips are content-rich, English-led, small group, and always sensed based. We’re fully booked this round (filled up before I had the chance to get a post up!) but reach out to learn more about our Fridays or to get a head start on Chanuka!

Thursday October 9th, 9:00-16:30: Jerusalem Aquarium and National Library
Friday October 10th, 9:00-15:00: TLV Work of Art exhibit and Illusion Museum
Sunday October 12th: 9:00-16:30: Mayumana DNA performance and Lucid Dream experience

Priced daily at 470 NIS plus VAT

Introducing our weekly enrichment field trip program for elementary aged children who don’t have school on Fridays — or prefer to opt out of their school’s Friday schedule in favor of an English-immersive full-day education extension beyond the classroom.

Every Friday, we head out to a new destination around the country for explorative learning and informal social and cultural experiences — all in a small, consistent group setting.

👫 Ages: Early Elementary school students 1st-6th grade (6-11 y/o) (max 6 kids, min 4 to open)
📅 Fridays during school hours
•⁠ ⁠Summer clock: until 15:00–15:30 (depending on location)
•⁠ ⁠Winter clock: until approx. 13:30–14:00 (before Shabbat)
Start date: September (before or after Chagim — your choice)
📍 Monthly itinerary shared two weeks in advance
💸 420 NIS/week + VAT – includes lunch, entry fees (up to 50 NIS), and private travel
🥪 Weekly sandwich menu to choose from (Allergy/dietary needs accommodated)
🚗 Round trip transportation either by private car (up to 4 kids) or public transport (children must have a valid Rav Kav)

After 7 😲 years of collecting some of my favorite things (insert The Sound of Music melody here 🎵🎶), from beautifully illustrated books to holistic and interactive learning materials — we’re opening our doors for a full day sale of ChefLab’s infamous (if I may say so myself 😊) educational resources. (Truly, there’s no library like this one, with over 300 intentional, high-quality books for all ages)
Each item is thoughtfully priced based on its condition, with original purchase prices shared. Many are in pristine, as-new condition - some never even opened (what can I say… my eyes were bigger than our academic calendar 🫣 🗓️).

This August, camp is stepping back to look at the bigger picture. From the science kitchen to life’s kitchen - a plan more flavorfully us than ever before👅

Traveling through time and across continents, we’ll feed our minds and bellies with chocolate colosseums, sugar crystal geodes, cheese & crackers Stonehenge, and pizza towers of Pisa. Just picture a Picasso Picnic:)

Blending science, history, art, geography, and culture into one interdisciplinary, delicious and nourishing world -- returning families will find a fresh take on everything we’ve built together. New friends will be welcomed into a community that may be closing its physical space, but never its mission.

We’re going out with popping eruptions, crystal crumbles, Ice (Age) breakers, and a PB&J munch (Edward, that is)... and we’d love to share our remaining time with you.
