For millions of people affected by crisis and displacement around the world, hope can feel distant โ yet itโs often what carries people through the hardest moments.
At IsraAID, we see hope take shape in many forms: a child returning to the classroom, a family accessing safe water for the first time, a community coming together to rebuild what was lost.
What gives you hope? Tell us below in the comments๐๐

In IsraAID's child-friendly spaces in Uganda, children have the stability and opportunity to play, heal, connect with peers, and just be kids.
It may seem like a given, but in the midst of displacement and uncertainty, having a safe place to learn, laugh, and feel supported can make all the difference.

Recovery doesnโt happen overnight. It grows through small moments of connection, trust, learning, and support โ moments that help communities move forward after unimaginable crisis.
At IsraAID, we stand alongside communities not only in emergencies, but throughout the journey toward long-term resilience and recovery.
Every person, every community, and every partnership is part of building a stronger future together. And none of this is possible without you.

IsraAID is closely monitoring the growing Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda and mobilizing emergency support for affected communities.
Our long-term team in Uganda will strengthen prevention measures with hygiene supplies, protective equipment, and health information for displaced families near the southwestern border while we assess additional needs with partners in the DRC. More details to come.

Behind every smile is a story of strength.
At IsraAID, we donโt see smiles as a sign that hardship never existed, but as a reflection of resilience, hope, and the power of community.
Our vision is a world where vulnerable and disaster-affected communities have the support, opportunities, and tools they need to recover from crisis and build a stronger future. And every smile reminds us why we do what we do: because even in the face of uncertainty, healing, connection, and hope are possible.

Cyclone Ditwah brought severe flooding and landslides across Sri Lanka, devastating communities across the country.
As our response continued, we adapted to deliver first aid trainings in schools, shelters, and host communities alongside St John Ambulance and medical volunteers.
So far, more than 1,200 people โ including students, displaced families, and community leaders โ have gained life-saving first aid skills, helping communities care for one another and respond in moments of crisis.

In Lonyuduk, Kenya, Lominyo spent years balancing the daily challenges of caring for her family in a place shaped by hardship and uncertainty โ walking long distances for water, caring for livestock, and carrying the weight of stress and uncertainty alone.
Through community-based mental health support, protection awareness, and access to essential services, she found new strength, hope, and connection. Today, all of her children attend school, her family has access to safe water and protection sessions, and she has become a voice for change in her community.
โI used to be silent and isolated. Today, I am strong. I know stress is part of life and I now know how to manage it.โ
Healing. Resilience. Hope.
This is Lominyo's story.

Real recovery is community-led.
In Colombia, local Child Friendly Space facilitators are helping create safe spaces where children feel supported, understood, and safe. Because the people who understand a community best are the people within it.
Let's hear it for our wonderful team in Colombia ๐
