Growth is painful because in order to grow, you must step out of your comfort zone.

But growth is also necessary to succeed.

And so it may be scary at first, but once you step out of your comfort zone, a world of opportunity awaits you.

Today, I stepped out of my comfort zone and propelled my business forward and moved one step closer to reaching my goals. Long story short: TOTALLY. WORTH. IT.

Turn a discovery call into a closed deal

This was advice shared with me when I first started my business 7 years ago and it has worked for me

Discovery calls used to scare THE S**Z out of me. It is simply an interview that is not in-person, but for so many reasons this just made it much more stressful than a traditional interview.

Then I got the following advice from a Pilates client of mine:

“Whatever you say, say it with confidence”

This means leaving out the “Umm’s” “Uhh’s” and avoiding eye contact- even on a video call.

When you sound confident, you become confident in your words and your demeanor.

In the same way that you stand in front of a mirror and can say positive things to yourself, thus making you feel more positive, sounding confident exudes confidence.

A confident you, makes a confident VA.

So I guess in some way, I’m sharing my secret with how I get clients with you, which may not be the smartest thing if you snag that interview away from me… JK JK. 😉

But this is advice I think we all need to hear and can benefit from.

I know that we are only a few working days into the new year and new quarter- but I am so motivated this week and ready to kick some SASS!

It is crazy to think that I just helped multiple clients launch online courses, and how much experience I have gained doing so.

Now I feel like I need a nap and it’s only Monday!

Onwards and upwards!

My 2020 in review…

- I completely shifted careers during the height of the pandemic
- Built a new business from the ground up and took on my first client just WEEKS after launching
- Moved to the suburbs
- Adopted another cat
- Celebrated 1 year of marriage
- INVESTED in my business

And now as we enter into 2021…

- I am FULLY booked with clients
- Working my dream job (somedays from my couch)
- Helping others launch their businesses and online courses
- LOVING being a cat mom to two adorable babes
- GRATEFUL for my family, good health, and my business

2020, it was nice knowing you. 2021- WELCOME!

May this year be THE year of continued blessings, good health for us all, the ability to see our families, continued success and growth in ourselves AND our businesses, a strong economy, and clarity to see all the good around us.
