After this year’s explosion of violence and dehumanization, it was hard to imagine that Israeli and Palestinians will come together and share their stories with one another, and the public.
Mid East Storytellers is a platform that aims to fight the status quo and move from co-existence to co-resistance.
Hear the stories of these inspiring Peace Activists reflect on what drives their activism; What makes them dedicate their lives to the pursuit of peace; and, what sort of future are they working to build, together?

אנחנו חיים בעולם שעשוי מסיפורים - סיפורים על צמיחה, קדמה ושפע, אבל גם על אלימות, כח, אי צדק ומשבר אקלים.
סיפורים שמכתיבים את חיינו. הם משפיעים על מה נאכל, למי נצביע ובמה להאמין.
לסיפורים יש כוח אדיר והם מהווים חלק עצום מלהיות בני אדם. עם הסיפור הנכון, משנים את המציאות.
מעסיקות אותנו המון השאלות - איך קוצרים את נקצור את כוחם של סיפורים כדי לשנות את המציאות סביבנו?
איך ניצור תכנים שיכולים לעשות הבדל חיובי בקהילות שלנו ובעולם? איך מהפכנים, אקטיביסטים ותנועות לאורך ההיסטוריה הצליחו לשנות, לעשות הבדל ולהשפיע, ומה אפשר ללמוד מהם?
את כל זה ועוד מיני הפתעות נלמד בסדנה בת שני מפגשים מקוונים, 22.7 ו 29.7, 20:00-22:00, שיתוף פעולה מרגש בין יוזמת ״פנדולום״ למרכז השל לקיימות.

Why toys, you ask?
Well, believe it or not - these toys once helped activists in Russia to get their message across.
Back in 2012 there were massive protests against what seemed to be yet anther corrupt election with Putin elected again. The Kremlin made it impossible to protest without prior written permission (so basically no protesting allowed). So what did the protesters do?
They found a creative way to protest; If they couldn’t hold signs in their main squares, who could?
The answer is, you guessed it - their children’s toys!
This type of protest really caught attention by international media, and thus really helped the protesters with to get their message out there.
Here’s one of the headlines :
“Toys cannot hold protest because they are not citizens of Russia, officials rule”
It goes to show that we always have to keep humour in mind when approaching our activistic strategy, and have to come up with novel ways to address the world and catch the media’s attention.

It might take us a minute to grasp all of this and wipe these proud smirks off our faces. 4 months of hard work sure payed off. launch event was one hell of a night thanks to our young climate activists’ work (I mean did you see the website? They’re incredible!) and of course it wouldn’t have happened without and all of our new friends.
