Eden Yerushalm (age 24) spent her last moments in a tunnel underground in Rafah, Gaza.
Like many other young people, she attended the Supernova festival on 10/7 where she was working as a bartender.
Eden and her friends fled the rave by car after the terror attack began, but the Gazans opened fire on their vehicle, murdering her friends Dorin Atias and Lior Maimon.
Eden hid from Hamas for hours, according to Times of Israel. But eventually her sisters heard gunshots on the line and Eden cried out, “They caught me!” before the phone went dead, according to TOI.
Eden was desperate to escape.
She had also called the police, begging them to send help. One sentence from the recording was released: “Find me, okay?”
After 11 months of being held in harsh conditions and starved of food, light and air, Eden was murdered by her captors in Palestine on August 29, 2024.
“She was an amazing sister, an amazing friend, she had a lot of friends, and now she’s our angel,” her sister May told CNN News.
Eden was a budding pilates instructor, a daughter, and a good friend to many 🎗️

🎉 **Cohort 6 of the Israel-Is Image Ambassadors Program is underway!** 🇮🇱
Our unique program, which equips IDF reservists with practical tools to create positive and impactful content about Israel on social media, kicked off with an especially exciting opening session 📱✨
We started with nimrodpalmach, CEO of Israel-Is, who shared his story and the story of Israel-Is, and how we can all amplify Israel’s voice around the world 🌍. We hosted the amazing Yinon Tagner, who led an inspiring workshop on **building personal connections** and creating meaningful relationships that can drive change 🌟. We also heard from **Ayala Ben Noach**, a content creator and program mentor, who spoke about strategies and tools for creating impactful content on social media 💡📸.
We are so proud and excited to see this new group of image ambassadors embarking on their journey – to shift perceptions, touch hearts, and showcase the real Israel 💙.

Flashing back to our week in LA for our Survived to Tell launch. Check out this video the talented orilaizer created which sums up the trip perfectly 🇮🇱 ✈️ 🇺🇸
The ISRAEL-is team recently flew to Los Angeles to launch Survived to Tell virtual reality. Our delegation included captivity survivor Ofir Engel who was only 17 when he was taken from Hamas and held in Gaza for 54 days. We shot this video with Montana Tucker to call for the release of the remaining hostages, giving a voice to the voiceless 🎗️
“After people take off the VR goggles, you can see the punch in the gut they feel” - Ofir Engel, who was abducted from Kibbutz Be’eri to Hamas captivity and released after 54 days, has joined .is.you and .to.tell delegation in Los Angeles.
As part of our Be The Witness project, which recently brought us to Canada, we had the pleasure of meeting Mohammed, a student at the University of Toronto. Mohammed took part in our immersive VR experience and shared that this was his very first encounter with Israelis.
We sat down for a meaningful conversation, discussing perspectives, stories, and learning from each other. Here’s a glimpse into that conversation. 👇

Yesterday, we had the privilege of attending the JNF Women for Israel Conference in Phoenix, Arizona, where our representative Sapir Golan, a survivor of the Nova tragedy, shared her powerful story with an audience of 400 women. Her testimony moved everyone to tears, and by the end of her talk, the entire room rose in a standing ovation that seemed endless.
We are incredibly grateful to JNF for this unique opportunity, and to our amazing alumna, Einav Tugendhaft, for leading our delegation.
