תצפיות כוכבים, טיולים וסנפלינג. star gazing, tours and rappeling .Nirjana is the Sanskrit word for desert. Nirjana includes the word Jana, Arabic for paradise.
When I heard of this word I felt it encompasses everything I wish to convey to the travelers I meet here:
It resembles the word Nirvana - I definitely believe that even if we haven't reached Nirvana in the Buddhist sense, being in the desert can bring us somewhat closer to the feeling. This is twice as right here: The Arabic language which is spoken by the local Bedouins for thousands of years, an
d also paradise- which I feel is reflected here in the magical landscape we see from the mountain tops, from the edges of the cliffs and in the oases. I couldn't help feeling related to this word as soon as I heard it begins with my name- Nir. And of course, the fact that it means Desert- the place I feel most at home and that I would love to share my passion to with anyone who joins me in my journeys here. Following all those thoughts and feelings I felt obligated to adopt the name- Nirjana.
משמעות המילה נירג'נה היא מדבר בסנסקריט.
כשסיפרו לי על המילה הזו הרגשתי שהיא ממצה בתוכה את כל החוויה שאני שואף להעביר דרך ההדרכה שלי אל המטיילים:
היא גם מזכירה בצליל את המילה נירוונה שאני בהחלט מאמין שגם אם לא הגענו לנירוונה באופן שבו בודהיסטים מתכוונים, השהות במדבר יכולה באופן מסוים לקרב אותנו אל התחושה הזאת.
בנירג'נה ישנה גם המילה ג'נה שמשמעותה בשפה הערבית גן עדן שהרי זה מתאים כפליים, גם השפה הערבית שמדוברת בפי בני המקום הבדואים מזה אלפי שנים וגם גן עדן שבעיניי משתקף לנו בנופים הקסומים שאנו רואים מהמצוקים, מפסגות ההרים ובנאות המדבר.
לא יכולתי שלא להרגיש את עצמי שייך למילה הזאת ברגע ששמעתי שהיא מתחילה בשם שלי- ניר.
וכמובן העובדה שמשמעותה בעברית היא מדבר- המקום שאני מרגיש בו הכי בבית ושאת התשוקה שלי אליו אשמח להעביר לכל מטייל שיצטרף אליי במסעותיי במדבר.
בעקבות התחושות האלה הרגשתי מחויב לאמץ את השם- נירג'נה.
