ADENANTHOS "TAL" is a good cut-foliage plant up to 3 m. its silvery green-grey coloring and feathry texture make it an interesting part of any flower arrangement. It has a very good shelf life and maintains its colour and texture when dried.

ADENANTHOS can be grown in most soils and can tolerate mild frost. It doesn't require much fertilizer or water and is relatively unaffected by pests and diseases, it grows well in full sun as well as in partial shade.

Harvest and Marketing
First harvest will be 6 months after planting, 30-50 branches per plant the first year.
Full harvest from second season on – 50-80 branches per plant, depending on growing conditions.

Vase life is very good - 10 days and more.
NOPHAR can be easily dried and will keep its shape and color.

They cannot tolerate heavy frost. Very high or low temperatures will stop or damage the flowering process. Root system is relatively shallow. The plants may need support in windy areas.

Some species have single scapes while others are branched. These varieties are suitable for drying as well. Flowers appear from mid-winter to early summer. Flower colours range from red, pink, orange, yellow, green to black. Most flowers have two or more colours that continue on the scapes.

The flowers are tubular, 2-5 cm. long, splitting open to form their interesting shape. They appear at the end of a long flowering stalk or scape (0.1 to 3 meters long). The scapes and flowers are covered with velvety hairs.

The KANGAROO PAW is a perennial plant similar in form to the iridaceae (iris family). All species have perennial rhizomes from which linear strap leaves arise. These leaves vary in length (0.1 to 0.8 meters) and in color lightdark green.

NOPHAR flowers year round. NOPHAR grows in most soils but prefers acid and well drained soils with the optimum PH being 5.5-6.5. NOPHAR grows in optimum temperature of 10-30 degrees centigrade, but can tolerate lower temperatures.

NOPHAR is an upright perennial shrub reaching 1-1.5 M height. Leaves are small and green. NOPHAR has small flowers that cluster together into a terminal flowering head (Inflorescence, corymbs). The flower head size ranges between 50-80 mm. Flower colors - white.
