After ten months of intensive restoration work, carried out by the University of Athens and funded by the Franciscans, the Greek-orthodox Patriarchy and the Arminian Church of Jerusalem, the tomb structure which is at the center of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre is finally restored and renovated.

For years view of this beautiful structure, originally built in 1810, was obstructed by steel reinforcements which held up the structure until an agreement on the renovation could be reached between all parties in charge of the church. Now, visitors can finally enjoy the beautiful structure as it was originally presented 207 years ago.
