I don't normally post anything like this, but this is an important part of healing.
As someone who worked with Oron Balin (RIP) and who knows the family of Sivan Shaharabani (RIP) who were both brutally murdered at the Nova Music Festival on Oct 7th, it is important to me that what happened at the Re’im site where the festival took place is never forgotten.
What began as an expression of grief by families who placed photographs in the blood-soaked ground has, thanks to the artist Amir Hodorov and millions of shekels invested from his own pocket, become a professional and dignified memorial site. But for this important place to endure forever, Amir and the families simply cannot continue this effort alone.
Preserving the memory of my personal loss, and of the 420 hearts that were silenced there, is a responsibility that belongs to all of us.
