"WHAT'S THE TIME?"

A man, noticeably in a rush, ran up to me and asked. I glanced at my watch: "It's 18:45". He said, looking disappointed: "Yes, but... what IS the TIME, what TIME IS?".

I raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "You know," I said, "there's a lecture starting soon that might shed some light on that..."

What is time for you? Is everything changing around you at a high speed? As if one foot is yesterday and the other is today, which is already tomorrow? Or is time stretching and flowing, leaving you waiting, wishing for the clock to move faster?

For years, writers, artists, philosophers, and physicists have tried to understand time - and some even claim that it does not exist. Our next lecture will be given by physics professor Lev Khaykovich, who will discuss the many facets of this phenomenon as it appears in different disciplines of human knowledge. Lev will talk about the history of timekeepers, the importance of measuring time, and how precise measurement can help us understand its mysterious nature.

On your journey from the past to the future, we invite you to stop on the 26th of January at 17.00, at Mae Boyar High School, Tora Va'Avoda St. 1, Jerusalem to discuss the nature of time.

Registration link is in the comments.
