Last month, MASHAV's regional agriculture expert conducted a field visit to a family farm in the Caaguazú region of Paraguay, together with a representative of Israeli company "Metzer," to prepare for the installation of a drip irrigation system.

The farm will serve as an open demonstration site for neighboring farmers, agronomists, and technicians, turning applied knowledge into a shared resource for the wider agricultural community.

This work is part of MASHAV's broader engagement in Paraguay's agricultural sector, directly supporting a national priority set by Paraguay's Ministry of Agriculture: strengthening family farming communities as a driver of food security and rural development.

MASHAV, through the Embassy of Israel en Côte d'Ivoire, donated a "Netafim" drip irrigation system covering close to 10 dunams at the vocational school in Botro, in central Côte d'Ivoire.

Last week's inauguration ceremony was held in the presence of the Minister of Education, the Mayor of Botro, and other senior local officials, alongside Israel's Ambassador to Côte d'Ivoire, Simon Siroussi, and UN representatives who also support the school.

Last month, Ricardo Lomaski, Program Director at MASHAV Carmel Training Center, together with MASHAV's regional agriculture expert in Paraguay, Emilia Kuschnir, spoke to agronomists and agricultural engineers from across the country at a professional forum hosted at the offices of FECOPROD, the Federation of Production Cooperatives, in Asunción.

The talk focused on Israeli approaches to agricultural innovation and the growing role of technology in farming, and opened discussions with FECOPROD leadership on further cooperation.

This is part of MASHAV's broader engagement in Paraguay's agricultural sector, supporting capacity building and knowledge transfer across the country's professional farming community.

MASHAV and the Embassy of Israel in Argentina donated a fully equipped ambulance to the Municipality of Bahía Blanca, the second such donation in the country following a previous contribution to the Francisco Solano Fire Department.

The donation strengthens local emergency response capacity and community resilience. Ambassador Eyal Sela presented the keys to Mayor Federico Susbielles at the handover ceremony.

As part of the India–Israel Agricultural Project (IIAP) and the MASHAV India Work Plan 2026, MASHAV Agriculture Attaché Uri Rubinstein organized a four-day training on Irrigation and Fertigation Management at the Indo-Israel Center of Excellence for Mango in Basti, Uttar Pradesh.

The program brought together 35 state horticulture extension officers from across India for practical learning on micro-irrigation systems, irrigation scheduling, soil–plant relationships, and fertigation practices. Training was led by experts from Netafim India.

The program was inaugurated in the presence of Sara Yanovsky, First Secretary at Israel in India, and Dr. B.P. Ram, Director of Horticulture, Uttar Pradesh.

By strengthening the technical skills of professionals working directly with farmers, the program supports more efficient and sustainable horticulture across India.
