It's a hostile world out there, particularly for Jewish authors around the world.
Many of them - particularly those who are calling for change, dialogue, empathy, knowledge - are being cancelled. One example is Alyssa Rosenheck whose Nashville book launch event was cancelled. Her book "White. Blonde. Jew."is specifically about ending extremist and speaking up!
Other books that specifically address the situation, push back and call for change, are not getting publishing deals so the authors turn to self publishing.
The books are out, and now it's on us to read them, share them, and support these voices.
You can help.
🍋Host an event - online or in-person person - a presentation, a dialogue, a Q&A.
🍋 Sponsor an event with a like-minded organization that you support and earmark it for an author you admire. A great charity / tzedaka opportunity!

🍋 Suggest an interview to a podcast host you listen to!

"Part coming-of-age story, part historical fiction, part geopolitical thriller, and part psychological mystery, Hirsch’s The Wolf Shall Dwell with the Lamb lays out in vivid detail the hardships of a young Jewish man, Joseph Friedmann, in the Mideast in the years before and after the establishment of Israel. On a parallel course, it tracks the struggles of the Jewish state, whose resilience has been tested time and again by its hostile neighbors."
Local physician creates a world of thinkers, soldiers, and spies in geopolitical thriller - JUF – Together for good How a college work-study at Hillel helped shape a Jewish leader through community, confidence, and meaningful engagement.
Dr. Yossi Sheffi doesn't just document firsthand testimonies by traumatized researchers; he issues a warning to organizational leaders and policymakers across the US: leaders who prioritize dogma, enable radicalization, and give into donors who support terrorism are a threat to us all.
Rosensweig gives us this fantastic, eye-opening interview with this distinguished engineering professor at MIT.

Dr. Yossi Sheffi was born in Israel to parents who escaped Austria before the N***s invaded. He was born and raised with a clear message: Jews cannot outsource their safety - intellectual, moral, or physical - to institutions that lack the courage to defend their own principles.
He has been a distinguished faculty member at MIT for 48 years, where is is professor of Engineering Systems and director of the MIT Center for Transportation and Logistics.
In 'Unsafe at MIT' he writes, "I have come to believe that antisemitism is not what we have always understood it to be... It is as New York Times columnist Bret Stephens noted... a psychological reflex to resent people who refuse to subordinate their identity or their values."
He is now speaking out...
Dr. Sheffi is available for interviews, events, and educational programs. DM for info.

"For years, publishing has built an elaborate vocabulary for identifying discrimination. It can recognize “marginalization,” “silencing” and “erasure” with remarkable speed when favored victims are involved. The industry promotes authors writing from their own “lived experiences” through the hashtag . But when Jewish writers do exactly that, we are told that it is “not the right time for a Jewish book,” or that a character named Yael should become Sue."
Excellent points, Keene - you said exactly what needs to be said.

I'm a connector by nature.
I'm also a juggler by nature.
Aren't we all?! It's called .
I tell myself to take a break sometimes, but it's not easy. There's always something to do!
But today I'm chilling in TLV ...or so I thought...
Because the award-winning MIT engineer Dr. Yossi Sheffi's book just reached Bestseller status on Amazon in Education Administration and I'm sitting here with the biggest smile on my face.
This means that the connecting, the juggling, the pushing, the rewriting, the follow-ups...it works.
When you have a meaningful message, one that addresses an acute issue affecting the world, and you're brave enough to speak up about it, people thirst to hear it.
I'm honored to guide these courageous, passionate authors, and hope you'll support them too.

While university campuses may be quiet for the summer, the fight for their institutional integrity is just heating up. The crisis on elite American campuses has dominated headlines, but we have yet to hear the inside story from within the faculty trenches—until now.
Today, Dr. Yossi Sheffi is breaking his silence.
When the MIT administration refused to publish their findings about campus-wide antisemitism, Dr. Sheffi went ahead and conducted his own investigation. In Unsafe at MIT: A Chronicle of a Campus War on the Jews, the world-renowned MIT engineer and longtime professor documents firsthand testimonies from students, researchers, and colleagues about the failure of the university’s administration to ensure safety for students and hold perpetrators accountable.
As a professor of engineering systems, Dr. Sheffi views the situation not merely as a cultural or political failure, but through the lens of his own expertise: as a systemic crisis fueled by deep-seated institutional bias. His documentation shows how the DEI apparatus and university administrations actively supported a hostile campus environment, ultimately forcing several promising Jewish scientists to abandon their careers.
This isn’t just a critique of campus politics; it is a meticulous, insider look at how one of the world's most prestigious institutions lost its moral compass, offering a vital case study for leaders fighting to protect organizational integrity.
