Thanks my friends for your best wishes for the new Jewish year. Besides your private ones of health, happiness, success and more, for me and my close ones, there are a few things that would make me especially happy if happening next year. Peace with the Palestinians would be the first one. Or at least some kind of peaceful co-existence agreement. The second one would be to see the progresses of racism, antisemitism,anti-arabism, as well as all fascist ideologies, stopped, or at least marginalized and neutralized. My last wish would be the blossoming of science and culture. Culture under all it's forms, from spoken language to written language, and in the very broad sense of sustainable development. Yes, those are the wishes I would like to share with you my friends, for a civilized and happy 5575 - in addition to all the lovely wishes you were so kind to send me. Chers Amis, mes meilleurs voeux pour l'année nouvelle qui commence pour moi, ainsi que pour nombreux d'entre vous, ce soir. Merci à vous qui m'avez fait parvenir vos voeux en cette occasion. En plus de ceux, privés, nous souhaitant à moi et à mes proches, santé, bonheur, succès..., je voudrais formuler trois voeux dont la réalisation, ou déjà la mise en oeuvre, me rendrait particulièrement heureux en 5775. Premièrement, un accord de paix avec les Palestiniens. Ou du moins, un arrangement dynamique de co-existence pacifique. Deuxio, je serais vraiment heureux de voir les progès du racisme,de l'antisémitisme et l'anti-arabisme, ainsi que de toute forme de néo-fascisme, contrecarrés et neutralisés. Enfin, j'espère que l'année nouvelle verra le libre épanouissement de la culure et de la science, dans une perspective de développement durable, et sous toutes leurs formes. Du language parlé au language écrit. Voilà mes voeux les plus chers que je voudrais partager avec vous - en plus de ceux que vous avez eu la gentillesse de m'envoyer.
