For pathologists who need to occasionally consult with peers, Augmentiqs allows immediate sharing of annotated images directly from the live microscope image.
Image sharing is one of many capabilities pathologists can access with Augmentiqs, in addition to manual scanning, AI algorithms, automatic reporting, real-time telepathology and more.
Add to your microscope a combined imaging and workflow enhancing software that's tailored for the needs of pathologists.

Double-scoping is the cornerstone of pathology education. But how are pathologists being trained during an era of social distancing?
A recent paper by pathologists Robert Christian and Mandy VanSandt at the Oregon Health & Science University discuss the cost barriers of traditional digital pathology scanning systems, and the opportunity for low-cost dynamic virtual microscopy.

As noted in the paper's conclusion, the existing virtual microscopy technology may not be fully optimized for remote image sharing (telepathology), resulting in lag time with image movement, problems focusing, image quality issues, and a narrower field-of-view.
Augmentiqs solves all of these challenges, delivering a low-cost virtual telepathology solution that maintains the full field of view of the microscope, no lag time of image movement, and digital-pathology grade image quality.
The result is high-quality pathology education, remote consultations, tumor boards and frozen sections - all from the existing microscope.
Augmentiqs is a powerful research tool, turning the existing microscope into a digital platform that collects, displays and shares data in ways that were never before possible.
For pathologists & researchers interested in informatics, artificial intelligence and other digital pathology applications, Augmentiqs is the tool for you.

For many pathologists, the most critical functionality that digital pathology brings is remote viewing & tele-consultations.
Augmentiqs has pioneered remote telepathology for microscopy, enabling real-time sharing of the existing microscope with an unlimited number of remote participants.
- Live view of region of interest
- Lossless compression
- Multi-directional annotations
- Secure data transfer
- Unlimited number of remote viewers
- Works with existing light microscopes
- View remote annotations as AR in microscope eyepiece
By operating from within the existing microscope, Augmentiqs keeps costs low and maintains workflow efficiency. Learn more about Augmentiqs and microscope-based digital pathology. www.augmentiqs.com

There are certain things that don't need to be improved upon. Like the optical quality of a good light microscope.
Yet while the diffraction limit of the microscope was reached over 100 years ago, Augmentiqs is further pushing the evolution of the microscope by bridging it with digital capabilities.
Without any change to the microscope's optical quality, Augmentiqs transforms the microscope, allowing pathologists to work faster with real-time access to digital pathology tools without the need to first digitize the slide.

Artificial intelligence has great potential for pathology. But wouldn't it be great if algorithms could be built in a more effective manner?
Augmentiqs proposes a paradigm shift in the development of AI.
As opposed to the current method of hiring a couple of pathologists to annotate whole slide scans in a non-work environment - a method that is expensive, inefficient and far from big-data.
Augmentiqs sits within the microscope, piggybacking of the existing workflow of many pathologists to automatically collect images and metadata for algorithm training which encapsulate a wide variety of lighting conditions, stains and methodologies.
Once created, Augmentiqs with augmented reality technology is the ideal platform for AI deployment for pathologists across the globe who still use a microscope-based workflow.

The assessment of TILs allows pathologists to predict the possibility of response to Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors.
According to guidelines, a pathologist should study the stroma at the invasive border of the tumor and calculate the percentage of stroma occupied by TILs.
Augmentiqs allows pathologists to immediately view the exact borders and size of the stroma, identify and mark the location of lymphocytes and the ratio between the two, and easily calculate the percentage occupied - all from within the microscope eyepiece.
