יותר ויותר ארגונים מבקשים לייצר לעצמן קהילות ולתקשר עם עובדים / לקוחות / תלמידים, באמצעות רשת חברתית פרטית, המיועדת לקבוצות סגורות של משתתפים. כך שלצד מלכות הסושיאל הבלתי מעורערות, הולכות ונרקמות קהילות חדשות באמצעות רשתות חברתיות קטנות, נישתיות וסגורות. הן לא בהכרח מאיימות על הרשתות הקיימות, אלא יותר באות לספק פתרונות שהן לא יודעות לתת.

כיום ניתן למצוא רשתות כאלה בארגונים רבים ולשימושים רבים. בשנתיים האחרונות עסקנו רבות בפיתוח פלטפורמה קהילתית לארגון מעוז - רשת קהילתית סגורה לבוגרי מעוז במסלולים השונים, המאפשרת יצירת קשרים לטובת מיזמים בחברה הישראלית. במקרה אחר פיתחנו פלטפורמה בשם NEAR שמטרתה לפתח מיומנויות אישיות, חברתיות וקבוצתיות בין תלמידי בית ספר ממגזרים שונים.

מתוך סקר קצר שערכנו מצאנו שכ-70% מהארגונים מרגישים צורך בפתרון מתקדם ויצירתי ליצירת קהילות, Communities, לתקשורת בינאישית בין חבריה. למה זה קורה?

1. הרשתות הקיימות לא מתאימות לכל אחד – יש קהלים שלמים שלא מסתדרים עם רשתות כמו פייסבוק / אינסטגרם, מסיבות של גיל, דת, נגישות, הצורך בפרטיות ועוד.
2. נוחות – כדי לאגד חברים ברשת חברתית קיימת, צריך ללקט אותם ולאגד אותם לקבוצה סגורה. וכאמור, לא תמיד כולם נמצאים שם..
3. הצורך בפרטיות - הרשתות החברתיות הקיימות מספקות פרטיות ברמה מסוימת וכמובן עושות שימוש בפרטי המשמשים לצרכים מסחריים.
קיימים כיום מספר פתרונות טכנולוגיים המאפשרים לייצר מערכות תומכות לקהילות פרטיות בעלויות נמוכות ובזמן קצר.
