If you're new to trail running, here are a few things that might make those first kms a little easier. ⛰️

πŸ‘£ You don't need to run every hill. Even experienced trail runners hike.

⏱️ Trail pace can be much slower than road pace. Forget the watch and run by effort.

πŸ‘Ÿ The right shoes make a huge difference. Grip matters most on the trails.

➑️ Walking is not failing. Moving forward is what counts.

🌟 Experience builds confidence over time. You don't have to feel ready before you begin.

Trail running isn't about being the fastest, it's about exploring, challenging yourself and enjoying the journey 🌿

When our Summit Sisters were asked 'When I come back from the trails I…' here's what they said:

🐝 'Am buzzing.'

πŸ’› 'Know how special life is.'

⛰️ 'Can handle real life problems so much better as it gives me a different perspective on life.'

There's something about fresh air, good company and mountain trails that shifts everything. The hills don't make life disappear, but they can help you come back to it with a clearer head and a lighter heart. 🌿

β›°οΈβœ¨ What a wonderful day in the Wicklow Mountains!

Our usual Sunday morning Summit Steps guided run took us up Brockagh this week, followed by a trail taster around beautiful Glenmalure with some of the women from Dublin Front Runners . πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ’š

So much fun exploring the trails, watching the views open up as we climbed and enjoying the downhills.

We discovered hidden waterfalls πŸ’¦, glimpses of mountain lakes 🏞️ and some of the most stunning scenery Wicklow has to offer.

Thanks to everyone who joined us for a fantastic day on the trails! πŸ™Œβ›°οΈ
