MARCH HAD HANDS!!! I didn't see any of it coming. Ducked a few, chested one or two, a few swings landed like mad but i won the big ones.
Exhilarating, scary, high-speed, high-drama, clogged plot, big swings, comedy and tragedy, big wins, did the unthinkable, managed the unmanageable, exhausting and peak hilarity, safe and loved. I am burnt at the ends, delirious, angry-happy.
Unmistakably alive.
I'm back in Ireland fr.
While we are here - Donate to Tobi's go-fund-me.

Oiii springtime in Ireland is a bit of a vibe isn't it?
Let's have it then!
Three weeks on the djembe. I have uncovered MANY new lessons and some jarring truths, and I can't find the boldness to share it all on here.. But i will say this; rhythm grounds my emotions in a different way. Writing lets them fly. Rhythm gives them a seat. It is beautiful. I am rich in lessons. Grateful for the start of this journey. I am becoming more myself.
But anyways, I was jamming this morning, and this landed. I'm glad I caught it in a recording.
Heres to sharing and documenting glimpses of the path. I promised my Ori I wouldn't be stingy about it.
This is an offering. It is mostly for myself, but you can have it too. Watch the full video if you're so inclined.

GorΓ©e Island, off the coast of Dakar, Senegal πΈπ³
I was going to write a long post. One that will give you insight into the everythings I feel and felt. But I think it no longer necessary.
The summary I can share is this:
Art persists.
Life persists.
Joy persists.
In spite of it all.
In spite of grief, in spite of death, in spite of pain.
Let them co-exist erasure of either.
In a place with a history like Gorey Island, but also, in you. Find the continuing anchor, and persist.
That is the entire point.
Some lessons exist to be integrated.
May it land for you as it landed for me.
(No music, enjoy the sounds)
IN RHYTHM.

First week in Dakar, Senegal complete.
In a deep, slow state of being. Slowness is desired - and desirable - and listening is now paramount. I can hear the God in self crystal clear. Necessary for the next phase, for the Artist work is Spirit work. & Being is as easy as breathing. I am still in a doing state, but I am not doing to exist. Anchored in remembrance, resonance, recognition, and rhythm.
I'm not moving voyeuristically through Yoff in Dakar. I am recognised and held. Quelle suprise!
February! with its special energy.
Thank you.
Uploading before I overthink because I meant it when I said it.

GRATITUDE. GRATITUDE. GRATITUDE.
WEEK 1 OF WAKE IN SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA. β€οΈπ
Deep overflowing gratitude. May Gadagal Country continue to receive us, and I speak a continuous balm over the hearts that need WAKE. May it land tender on those who need tenderness, may it break the dams open for those who need a flood of joy, may it restore to those who need to remember to - "Chill, Breathe, Be destroyed and Enjoy it". . Life will keep arriving. Meet it with a wild, brave face. Nobody gets out alive.

A chaotic assemble of the WAKE FAMBAM day out to the Governor's House in Sydney. We sauntered around the place afterwards, pics at the Sydney Harbour and the Opera House. Meandered through the streets loudly and Irishly lmao it even rained warm and wet, a stunning homelike reminder. We teased at each other and cameras at the ready. The childish giggles and comic relief of swapping sandals and flats freeing toes on pavement gave adult school tour vibes. Our troubles were not wet sandwiches and forgotten lunch boxes, but achy ankles and no umbrellas and a dash to a sit down club that honoured its name; the caterpillar club. And didn't we bunch and munch together, processo fingers up!
We had a blast. Also.. someone help me fight UBIGI for my 17 dollars because my e-sim isn't working mahn.
Anyways its 10am here and 11pm at home.
As an Kenyan philosopher once said - "Time is relative. Time is non-linear to the African"
I don't understand the upside down effect of the Aussieland, however, I feel perfectly in time. My mind is confused but my body is truly not. I am In sync, in rhythm. Everyone else is jetlagged lmao.
