A little later than planned this week... but definitely worth the wait! 🙃✨

There’s nothing we love more at Crafty than seeing our team bring fabrics, yarns and patterns to life. It gives us the chance to test products, learn new techniques, and share real project inspiration with all of you 💕

This week, Jess has been sewing up a storm and creating the most gorgeous bags, knitting needle cases and crochet hook holders for makers on the move 🧶🧵💗

What makes this showcase extra special is that many of these projects were inspired by YouTube and TikTok tutorials — proving that with a little patience, creativity and willingness to learn, anyone can develop new sewing skills ✨

Using Crafty fat quarters, craft cottons & lawn, canvas & twill fabrics, Jess has created practical, stylish makes that would be perfect for keeping your crafting supplies organised or gifting to a crafty friend 🎁

And can we take a moment to appreciate those zips? 😍 Anyone who sews knows they can be a little intimidating, but Jess has absolutely nailed them this week! 👏

🩵💜🌈 How adorable are these colourful knits by the very talented Patricia from our Wednesday Knitting & Crochet Group? 🧶✨

The colours are simply amazing and perfect for either a boy or a girl. Patricia loved working with this beautiful yarn, although there was a little bit of “ripping back” along the way! Her first sleeve came out predominantly lilac, but she decided she preferred the gorgeous mix of colours flowing throughout the garment instead.

That said, we all agreed the lilac sleeve looked lovely too – sometimes it's those little creative decisions that make handmade pieces so special. 🥰 Everyone has their own preference, but we think the finished result is absolutely stunning. Don't you agree? 💖

Patricia used a pattern from her own extensive collection – a true testament to years of knitting experience and creativity. 👏🧶

We just can't resist a quick and satisfying baby knit here at Crafty! 🧶💕

This week, Joan has been busy creating this cute little cardigan from King Cole Baby Book 5 for a very lucky little lady 👶💗 The colour changes give this simple design a fresh new look and prove that sometimes the smallest tweaks can make a pattern feel completely different.

✨ What we love most about this project is how beginner-friendly it is. If you're new to knitting and looking for a confidence-building project, a little baby cardigan like this is a wonderful place to start. The shaping is simple, the pieces grow quickly, and there's nothing quite like seeing a handmade garment come together stitch by stitch.

🌸 Joan originally knitted this version from her stash of Ella Rae DK, [sadly discontinued], but was delighted to discover that Sirdar Snuggly Baby Bamboo DK offers the same beautifully soft bamboo and wool blend. The result is a yarn that's gentle against delicate skin, wonderfully smooth to knit with, and practical enough for everyday wear.
