Local Training Initiative-SWWFRC

We would like to extend the warmest of welcomes to Angela who is tutoring our learners in Word Processing. They are also studying Information & Administration currently.

This is a two-year programme designed to provide learners with a supportive and engaging learning experience, while helping them develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for their future.

Throughout the programme, you will study a range of modules designed to support your personal, educational and professional development. We also place a strong emphasis on learning and experiences outside the classroom, giving learners opportunities to take part in educational trips, wellbeing programmes and a variety of practical activities.

As part of the programme, learners will also have the opportunity to gain valuable additional skills and experience, including First Aid, Manual Handling and much more. These opportunities are designed to build confidence, develop practical skills and help prepare you for progression beyond the programme.

The programme can provide valuable pathways into further education, training and employment, helping you to explore your options and take the next step towards your future goals.

South West Wexford Family Resource Centre (SWWFRC) is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced tutors to support the delivery of accredited and non-accredited training programmes, including QQI programmes, Local Training Initiative (LTI) provision, REaD programmes, community education and wellbeing initiatives.

Join our NEW Local Training Initiative studying a Major Award QQI Level 5 in Office Administration at Southwest Wexford Family Resource Centre, Ramsgrange.- Subject to funding

Our new course is now open to apply for expression of interest.

This is a FREE course, beginning September 2026 and will run for 2 years.

This is an excellent way to meet people, learn new things/skills and be in a supportive environment.
