TRIM AC Events

Well done to our runners who took part in the St Cocas 10 mile road race in Kilcock on Sunday 16 August. Many of the participants were using this race as part of their preparations for the Dublin City Marathon in just 10 weeks time.
Trim athletes came home with excellent age group placings. Eimear McGowan won the W40 grade in a superfast time of 64.45, Sean Murphy won the M50 in 55.58. In the M60 grade Pat Corcoran was 3rd man home as was David Hawcroft in the M70 category.

On Saturday morning the Frank Duffy 10 miler attracted over 3600 runners to the latest round of the Dublin Race series.

Ronan wins Rathkenny 5km with a run of 17.44 on Saturday afternoon.

He didn't "bring home the bacon" BUT
he brought home a fantastically healthy massive fruit and vegetable hamper.
Ronan won with his first sub 18 run of 2026.

Well done to all our runners who took part in the Castlepollard 5km. The hugely popular races begins on the square in the picturesque Westmeath village and bring runners around the grounds of Tullynally Castle for a fast flat finish near the firestation. North Westmeath AC are the organising club and it attracts a quality field every year.

Athletics Ireland National League Final – Sunday 9th August, Morton Stadium, Santry

Well done to Trim AC athletes Ava Costello, Moira Groome, Caleb Loughran and Mark Loughran, who competed as part of the Meath County Men’s and Ladies’ teams.

Well done to Moira Groome who once again topped the podium for the W60 200m at the Irish Masters championships. Moira was silver medallist in the W60 100m.
