Customer Support
As a new business with a small team where customer service is so important, this person will have a significant impact on the business. The successful candidate will be a problem solver who enjoys working with technical products and explaining them to others. Some customer support experience would be great for this but it is not essential.

Athena Analytics provides data analytics solutions for schools and other educational institutions, with the aim of solving the “data problem” in schools. That is, taking the large amounts of data schools are looking at every day and translating them into interpretable and actionable results. The Athena Analytics products allow Principals and teachers to react to trends in real time and ensure that no student gets missed in a very busy school system. Over 300 schools are using the Athena Reports and there are currently schools in every county using the product.

We now have an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial, enthusiastic Sales and Operations Manager to join our team. As a new business with a small team, this person will have a significant impact on the running and success of the business. The successful candidate will enjoy the challenge of an ever-changing environment of a new, early-stage business.

This is a varied role that will suit someone who is flexible and enjoys variety in their daily routine but is also organised and able to implement systems and processes and ensure everyone is aligned with them.

The successful candidate will be based in our office in Tralee, Co.Kerry but will require travel to schools located in Ireland.

What you’ll do:

Customer Success & Admin

Train new customers in how to use the software - this will involve running training sessions for up to 100 staff. This training will be a mixture of remote and in-person training
Liaise with customers on requirements and queries
Work in conjunction with Account Managers to ensure new clients are experiencing great customer service
Implement and manage overall processes of the company including maintenance of our CRM and Sales Database
Other administrative tasks as required

Sales

Work with Founder to forecast and agree upon Sales & Retention targets on a quarterly basis
Contact potential new customers with a view to educating them on our software and bringing them through the full sales cycle to ultimate conversion
Streamline and optimise Sales processes
Prepare & present monthly reports on sales activities
Provide presentations and conduct webinars for potential new customers on how to use our software
Implement marketing plan through social media and customer outreach

Full training will be provided for all tasks.

What you’ll need:

3-5 years relevant experience integrating and supporting Sales & Business processes
Experience working with/comfortable working with a technical product
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Interest in the applications and capabilities of data analytics
Good presentation skills
Good problem solving skills
Customer service experience
Ability to work under own initiative
Positive attitude, proactive and ability to meet deadlines and prioritise workload as required
Excellent administrative and organisational skills

Bonus skills:

Experience in doing presentations or teaching
Experience in schools’ administrative systems – in Ireland or abroad
Experience in the education industry

We are running an internship at Athena Analytics this Summer for Computer Science graduates or those with relevant experience. If you interested in becoming a Ruby on Rails developer and are eager to quickly make an impact with your work and get involved in the business; this might suit you!

We plan to select 5 candidates to participate in this programme. Throughout the internship you will be introduced to Ruby on Rails by experienced developers and you will complete a project using the technology. This will give you an opportunity to see whether you would like to pursue a career as a Ruby on Rails developer. Those who complete the tasks of the internship successfully will have the opportunity to apply for a fulltime role following the internship.

The internship and potential subsequent full-time role will be based in our office in Tralee, Co.Kerry or can be carried out remotely
