Killester Basketball Club is seeking applications for the position of Men’s Super League Head Coach.

We are looking for an ambitious and experienced coach to lead our Men’s Super League programme and help drive the continued success of one of Ireland’s most established basketball clubs.

Requirements:
▪️ Minimum Level 1 Coaching Qualification (or equivalent)
▪️ Senior coaching experience
▪️ Knowledge of Irish National Leagues preferred

We had an extremely busy day on Saturday as our U14 and U15 boys welcomed teams from Greystones, kubs, Belfast and St Kevin’s Knights to St David’s for a fantastic day of basketball. 🏀🧡🖤

The standard of basketball was excellent throughout, with our boys battling their way to the final against Belfast Cleveland. More importantly, it was a wonderful day of competition, creating lasting memories, new friendships and plenty of great basketball experiences.

A huge thank you to all the parents and coaches who contributed an incredible selection of food and treats, keeping everyone fed and watered throughout the day.

A special thank you to all the organisers, Fiona, Janice, Catherine, Aoife, Helen, Sorcha and Caoimhe, whose hard work helped make the day such a success and to Glen for all of his work behind the scenes in organising and coordinating the event.

Well done to all the players who took part, and thank you to all of our visiting teams for helping make it such a successful and enjoyable event.

Huge congratulations to Mark Grennell on receiving his Super League Women’s Coach of the Year award for the third year in a row, an incredible recognition of his work and success with our Women’s team.

A massive congratulations also to Jerome Westbrook on being inducted into the Basketball Ireland Hall of Fame, a well-deserved honour for his impact and legacy in the game.

A huge congratulations to Tade Ademokun, Ciara Zurawska, Naiya Turner and Sorcha Kelly on being selected for the Ireland U16 Women’s National Team for the FIBA Youth EuroBasket 2026 in Greece! 🇮🇪🏀🧡🖤

A fantastic achievement for all four girls and a reflection of the hard work and dedication they continue to show on and off the court. The entire club is incredibly proud and looking forward to supporting them this summer in green. 👏☘️

Four players return to Paul O’Brien’s squad from the 2025 tournament, with eight players set for their international debuts at this level!

Great display from our U12 D1 Killester Boys team today at the Cork County Board Tournament in Parochial Hall Arena. The boys played four fantastic games, showing great teamwork, skill and determination throughout the day, reaching the quarter finals before unfortunately losing out to the eventual tournament winners, Éanna.

Super proud of this super team and the way they represented the club from start to finish. Well done boys 👏🏀
