🏇 Halfway through the Galway Festival… and what a week it’s been!

With 14 races completed and 14 still to come, I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who has supported the Galway Races Tipping Competition 2026.

To see 89 entrants taking part has exceeded my expectations. More importantly, it’s been fantastic to see people following every race, checking the live leaderboard and enjoying the friendly competition throughout the week.

What started as an idea has turned into a competition covering:
✅ Four days of racing
✅ Live scoring after every race
✅ Daily leaderboards
✅ Bonus points for NAPs, NBs and Double Points selections
✅ An €800 prize fund with 90% of entry fees returned as prizes

It’s been a huge learning experience too. I’ve already got a notebook full of ideas to make future competitions even better, with even more automation, live updates and new formats.

This is only the beginning for RC Competition Solutions.

⚽ Over the coming days I’ll also be launching our Premier League Weekly Sweep, designed for pubs, clubs, workplaces, supporters’ groups and groups of friends. It’s a simple, season-long competition that keeps everyone involved every single weekend of the Premier League season, with live tables, weekly winners and automatic scoring.

Horse racing, football, darts, golf and much more are all in the pipeline.

A sincere thank you to everyone who has entered, shared the competition and supported the idea. Your encouragement has given me the confidence to keep building this into something much bigger.

For now though, it’s back to Galway…

What a fantastic opening day! A huge thank you to everyone who entered and for your patience while we worked through a few technical issues yesterday.

As a thank you for your understanding and support, I’ve increased the prize fund so that 90% of all entry fees are now returned as prizes! 🎉

The final local venue supporting our World Cup sweeps is the Village Inn Slane. Again it’s a 4 man shoot out and the leader with a 144 point lead plays his nearest rival in Wednesdays clash between England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 and Argentina 🇦🇷… who will make next Sundays final in New York?

Lynch’s Bar in Slane another host venue , a runaway leader who had Belguim🇧🇪 and Senegal 🇸🇳 stacked up the points but is he a sitting duck as 4 other entries fight out the semi finals. There’s a minimum of 242 points up for grabs the team that lifts the most famous trophy in world sport, who will it be though ?

And then there was 4 !!!! One of our host venues, Watters of Collon, for our World Cup sweeps and it’s going to be a thriller !! Semi finals played on Tuesday and Wednesday ….

Another host venue is Watters Bar Collon and again it’s a competition that’s going to go right to the wire !!

Our World Cup sweepstakes are running across 3 venues and have being a huge hit. Lynch’s Bar Slane are one host venue and the last 8 going into the semi finals are as follows, along with the latest leaderboard after France’s win over Morocco and Spain’s defeat of Belgium
