Growing up in Scarteen, he has had a growing involvement in equestrian media for over a decade and is a regular photographer, commentator and volunteer at equestrian events throughout Ireland. A day that had a little bit of everything... sunshine, showers, wind, and some outstanding young horses. 🌦️🐎
A huge thank you to everyone who played a part in making the Scarteen YES Qualifier such a success. With strong entries across the Four & Five Year Old classes, the Junior Young Rider qualifiers, and, for the first time, four Working Hunter qualifiers, it was a busy day from start to finish.
Congratulations to all those who secured their 🎫 Golden Tickets and took another important step on the .
From the air, the scale of the day was clear to see, with competitors, owners, breeders, producers and supporters coming together to celebrate the future stars of Irish sport horse breeding and production.

From a promising young horse in Ireland to a CCI4*-L winner on the international stage. 🌟 🇨🇦
Congratulations to the connections of HSH Double Sixteen on securing the biggest victory of his career to date in the CCI4*-L at Mars Bromont CCI.
A graduate of the .ie sales ring, the son of Robin des Pres (FR) made three starts on the racecourse before embarking on an eventing career. HSH Double Sixteen has become a wonderful example of the opportunities available to Thoroughbreds beyond racing.
We've enjoyed following his journey for many years, from winning the Thoroughbred Stepping Stones to Success League in 2020, through an impressive Eventing Ireland career with Leila Barker that included a top-10 finish in the Coral Cove CCIYH2*-S at Millstreet International Horse Trials.
Always a reliable cross-country performer, he completed his Eventing Ireland career without a single cross-country jumping penalty before beginning the next chapter of his story in the United States.
Under Caroline Pamukchu, his progress has continued year on year, and last weekend he delivered a landmark performance to claim his first CCI4*-L victory.
A result like this reflects the dedication of so many people along the way. Congratulations to his breeder, owners, riders and all of the connections who have helped guide his journey from racehorse, to young event horse, to international four-star winner.
It's been a privilege to document parts of that story over the years, and seeing a horse develop from a promising youngster into a CCI4*-L winner is exactly what makes this sport so special.
We have a feeling there are even bigger days ahead for HSH Double Sixteen. 🚀
