Tonight its the night we get to showcase our project idea for Midleton. This will happen online and anyone can register to attend for free. Also featured tonight are the groups from Youghal, Cobh and Carrigaline.
Each group has put in a huge amount of work to produce the idea document and congratulations to them all!

We are delighted to have submitted our proposal to Cork County Council Public Consultation on the new County Devolpment Plans.
Our proposal was developed during the last six months and the covid 19 pandemic has reinforced our belief that there is a need for a large scale Regional Park in Midleton.
The pandemic has shown us how important green spaces are, not just for physical well-being but also for people’s mental heath.
Now is the time to be bold and ambitious in planning for the future and provide East Cork with this transformational project.

One last push on our survey. With the on going battle with Covid 19 we as a committee are still working away drawing up plans for our presentation to Cork County Council. This presentation was due for last month but with everything that is going on we now hope to have our presentation night sometime in June. Hopefully we will have further updates to share with you all soon. Take care and continue with social distancing

From community grass roots, comes an idea that is big, an idea that will grow, an idea to change the future of Midleton.
With mental, social, and physical health benefits, an ambitious project has started to create a Regional Park here in Midleton, for the benefit and enjoyment for all the people of East Cork.

Looking to the award winning Ballincollig Regional Park for inspiration, and building on the vision of the Midleton-Youghal Greenway, the time has come to raise our ambition, to achieve excellence, to plan for a future of our town with a living, breathing green core.

Who are we?

We are a group of community members, living in Midleton and East Cork, gathered under a community development initiative, MyTownMyPlan. Funded by European funds through the Leader programme with training from the Hinks Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence (CIT) and mentors across industry, it fosters a process of building and sustaining the community’s vibrancy and resilience.
